Kiana, our host, was the only good thing about this process. She was kind, professional and responsive. Aside from the correspondence from her, it was not great. The apartment itself has been remodeled, but is very sparse when it comes to furniture and having a place to put your clothing for your stay. Only one extra towel and we ran out of toilet paper on the 2nd day, with no extra in sight. With 6 people staying here, I was doing laundry and buying toilet paper for our family. We also received a notice informing us to vacate the unit, otherwise our unit would be over locked. This cause us serious concern and made us nervous to leave, as we saw people walking around the units placing these notices on certain doors. We feared they would come back and lock us out with our possessions inside. The people we encountered coming and going, were not friendly to us and we felt we were not welcome and in a hostile environment. Ended up cutting our stay short and moved to a hotel. This was very inconvenient, as our son fell ill while at the apartment. Vrbo was nice to pay for one night at the hotel, but we are now left with the other half of that bill. Overall, the experience was not a good one. The unit, if able to operate at all after this, needs some serious consideration. No pools towels, pickleballs/rackets. The pictures give the idea of a nice pool with activities. But that is not possible unless you brig your own. Luckily, I had packed two pools towels that we used.
