Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak offers 432 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors, and features iPod docking stations and laptop-compatible safes. I thought it would of been helpful to know there was some remodeling taking place. The rooms are very out dated. Some of the pool water was warm. Would of been nice to have the water be more refreshing.

I didn’t like how I had adjoining rooms and I left my connecting door open and house service entered my room with out me being checked out yet and locked the connecting door with a young family member sleeping in the bed by herself!! How safe is this situation? What if something happened to her and her family couldn’t get to her because one of the connecting doors was locked by the staff? There was a reason I left my side unlocked, I don’t understand why they needed to shut it. I called the hotel and they said they would call me back, still haven’t heard back. They also need to get more floats for the lazy river, we couldn’t even get any because people were holding them at this chairs!

The rooms are large and spacious, the staff was super friendly. The bathroom in the room is small like almost have to be on the toilet to shut the door. For some reason the bar at the pool wasn't open even though it's a weekend in July. This location doesn't have free breakfast which was a bummer, and if you go to the water park in the afternoon they might be out of towels also the water park did not have enough tubes for the lazy river but it was fun and definitely great for the whole day.

Property itself was wonderful, great pool and staff was super kind. The room was horrible though. Beds were rock hard to the point that my sides felt bruised when waking up in the morning. Water in the showers was unpredictable and would go from super cold to scorching hot (super unsafe with kids showering) and the room overall seemed dirty and unkept. Very outdated rooms yet the property was well maintained and looked new. Won’t return to this Hilton- it definitely didn’t hold up the Hilton reputation for comfort and modern style. Rooms looked like a Ramada Inn. Disappointing.

I've stayed here several times with family and friends, and it never disappoints. The hotel itself is older, but there's something charming about it. The lazy river and water slide are the best on hot days! Can't wait to return!

Hotel had a snack/drink to purchase area which was nice. Pool side waitstaff was awesome at the water park area. Main spaces of hotel were kept up nice. The carpet area of our room was gross- needed serious cleaning or even better removed. Sofa sleeper mattress was awful - could feel every spring. The mattress on the bed was great though.

Significant Facility and Service Issues

We stayed on the second floor and had a lot of luggage, but unfortunately, the elevator was out of service. To make matters worse, the luggage caddy was chained and padlocked to a fence, so we couldn’t use it. One of the two phones in the room didn’t work, and our room overlooked a parking lot that was under construction, which also meant that available parking was minimal. The carpet in our room was visibly dirty, which was disappointing. The waterpark slide was closed when we arrived, though it did open the following day. Still, there was a noticeable lack of staff and security presence. In the lazy river, we saw a couple feeding their completely nude infant, no diaper or swim diaper, while kids were jumping off the bridge into the lazy river. It felt chaotic and unsafe. The pool had a swim-up bar, but there was no staff attending it. Later, the bathroom sink handle detached in my hand. We were also woken up early by loud drilling as maintenance worked on what seemed to be cable or internet installation. Speaking of internet, the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, and I had to use my personal hotspot. On a positive note, the staff we did encounter were friendly. One gentleman from Boston stood out, he unlocked the luggage caddy for us and helped load our belongings into the car. He was the highlight of our stay, and I appreciated his help more than I can say. Unfortunately, that kindness wasn’t enough to offset the overall experience. I won’t be returning.
