Pretty amazing price for a Gilded Age gem that's still being kept in top shape. It's sort of the Hollywood ideal of what a swanky hotel is supposed to look like. There was a good gym and good bar/eating options right on site (for a quick bite in the morning and a night cap later on). Good gym too. It's located right in downtown Pittsburgh. It's a short walk to the ballpark & football stadium. There's transit stops all over the place if you're heading to other sections of the city. They have a valet service if you want it, though there's self-parking right next to the hotel at a good price.

Our biggest takeaway from our stay was how much we liked the staff. We had great help from the desk staff, the valets and the maids. We had breakfast in the Palm Room and our waiter Harris did an excellent job. He has very good customer service skills. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

The hotel is historic, but very dark and outdated. I reserved a one-bedroom suite, and I was disappointed in the condition based on the rate that I paid. The toilet was abnormally low to the ground, so weird. The furnishings were old and needed a refresh. The room was dark and dingy.
