Was an amazing experience, we lived everything. The resort , the staff members , the food We lived the Italian restaurant special thanks to JORGE fee being such an amazing welcoming person I encourage to visit the buffet GRECIA AND CARLOS are amazing And let’s not forget the activities, the best ever Spanish lesson with VIRY amazing and she made sure i continue exercising thru out my stay KENDELL = OMG, no activity without him , he is the best entertainer i ever saw , i was always waiting for the pool activities knowing KENDELL will come and we will have amazing time Best adult only resort Definitely recommend and we may return again

Overall, was a great place. When we arrived we were greeted & moved into a room where we were checked in. This is part that could be improved. The lady that checked us in seemed new, she seemed rushed and didn’t take much time explaining what we needed to know. We did upgrade to “privledge” but didn’t get the information needed from her on how to use this upgrade. In the first 24 hours we had to figure it all out; which is fine but this would be better having been explained fully at arrival. We ended up going back on our first full day, and asked for help. We approached a gentleman at another desk & he was SO helpful! He explained everything and took time to answer our questions.I can’t say enough about the cleanliness, the entertainment, dining experiences were ALL wonderful! The excursion team-Margarita, Cisco and the entire snorkeling/jet ski team were incredible. We had booked jet skis and snorkeling but were postponed due to the wind. The team was so professional and friendly! We did have an issue upon checking out; not huge but again think this was a piece that was missed upon check in. Our air port transport came and we had a five minute time period to board. The checkout process was long, there was only 1 person doing check in and out. We ended up boarding our transport to avoid missing it and were stopped at the resort exit & turned back. Beyond check in/out all wonderful

What a TREAT... Great food and beverage selections. Beautiful, clean and spacious rooms. The most friendliest staff all around the resort especially Kendall at the pool bar, what a great entertainer he definitely knows how to keep a group of strangers (to friends) entertained and he makes everyone feel special by remembering names. 😎 The only downside was the Sargassum. May and June is the worst. But it was also an experience to see so much sea grass. Great value for money!! A HUGE THANK YOU to every single team member!

Wonderful experience. Service was great food was good, small resort with lots of free open spaces. Nothing better than being able to always find a seat on the beach and not stepping over people and kids.

This is my 5th or 6th time here, I’ve lost track. This is a smaller and older resort. Honestly, any room is great. They are all nice. I’ve stayed in the privilege and the basic rooms. We’ve also gotten upgraded a few times. After the 2nd time here, it didn’t matter what room we were in. Nothing is too far of a walk unless you don’t like walking. That’s a you problem. Check-in and out were smooth. Food never disappoints. Likely why we keep coming back. Staff is always 10/10. Always great to come back and see a few ppl who are still there. There’s always something different every time we come. We love it. After a week it’s time to go home and be sad. Had a blast. Their other properties are great too. Only slight negative is the seaweed on the beach. That’s mainly due to global warming not the resort. You get over it fast. If you want to go to a nicer beach you can book an excursion to Isla Mujeres. Go early, stay all day. the beach is beautiful. Thank me later. I’ll be visiting again. Not sure when, but I’m in there either way.

Wait staff slow and inattentive other than a few (Fabian was good) Beach mostly unavailable. Drinks weak and you have to pay extra for top shelf. No A/C in the common areas so be prepared to sweat. Allen at the front desk was rude. Toiletries were cheap. Pool towels not available. Kendall was great as well with the entertainment. Overall disappointed.

The Resort was great! Staff was fantastic with everything we needed. The only thing that was not great was the smell of seaweed around the Resort. Very strong smell once you get out of your room. Either than that we had a fantastic time! Thank you Ocean Maya Royal for hosting us and thank you to the staff as well!

Not a 5 star. 3 at best. Food is subpar and Americanized (as in pizza and hamburgers instead of tacos and guac) with only one chef in buffet who is miserable and stressed trying to cook for hundreds. Beach is unswimable because of seaweed which they should clearly state when booking your trip. Also, no security or service on beach if that’s what you think you’ll get from a 5 star.

I loved all of the daily activities they have planned for guests. If you just want to relax you can go to the pool area one with music or the other with no music. Lovely vacation spot.
