Beautiful location, perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the Olympic peninsula! Exceeded our expectations. The listing pictures barely do it justice. The cabin was generously equipped to make our stay easy and relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a decent selection of spices in the cabinet. Everything was in good working order.Check-in was seamless and the host provided detailed information (printed and emailed) to help us prepare for our stay. They were quick to answer questions (via VRBO app) during our stay.A couple tips for other travelers:Be prepared to walk up/down many (72) steps to reach the cabin. No A/C (normal for the area), so summer nights can get a little hot. There were big fans available to help.Feedback:It would have been nice to have more seating and shade available on the dock. There were 3 kayaks, but only 2 paddles. Maybe one got lost at some point.None of this was a problem for us. We truly enjoyed our stay.I 100% recommend this listing and will look for it again if we end up visiting the area in the future.
This was exactly what we were looking for. We stayed for the July 4th weekend and the cabin was perfectly positioned near excellent hiking like Hurricane Ridge and Marymere Falls, and a quick drive into Port Angeles for the festivities on the 4th. The cabin was clean and comfortableâwell suited for 4 people but we squeezed 5 and made it work with two kids sharing the big bed. The lake views were spectacular, and the hot tub was an awesome touch. The host was responsive and very helpful before and during our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable little cabin as we explored Olympic National Park. The views of the lake were simply gorgeous! Unfortunately due to our short stay, we didn't get the time to use the kayaks, but we loved that was a possibility. It is close enough to Port Angeles to be convenient, but so nice to be out of the city.
The perfect stay! The only tough part was all the stairs to go down to the cabin but they were well lit and stable. Cabin was well stocked, peaceful, and beautiful. Hot tub was perfect.
Great little cabin on lake near Olympic National Park
We chose this cabin because of the more affordable pricing and great location. It's right on the water, which was great for swimming and kayaking. We expected steps, but just know that there are about 70 from where you park to the cabin, but they are lighted and have metal grating which helps a lot in dark/wet conditions. The view is awesome with the big windows. The lake was not as busy as I had expected, given the number of properties around it. There are about seven cabins on the right side, but none for quite a ways on the left, so it feels quite private. Close to Hurricane Ridge and Merrymere Falls. We had to be careful with water use as the system is small and takes a little while to repressurize, but it worked out OK once we understood how to use it. Kia was great in answering our questions. Hot tub was wonderful! A little small but perfect for us and nice and HOT!
I stayed for a week with my two teenage sons and we could not have been happier with this lovely vacation rental. Picky teens gave the place a perfect score!
Outdoor Space - view from the deck was gorgeous at all times of the day and night. The boys spent most of their time jumping into the lake and then ultimately warming up in the hot tub, kayaking, fishing, stargazing, and just enjoying each otherâs company. We had everything we needed for outdoor fun. Thereâs something very soothing about the place - itâs cozy and, while there are a few neighbors, the vibe is very peaceful.
Location - ideal- close enough to major tourist areas to avoid any long drives, but felt off the main tourist path. Also convenient proximity to grocery stores and basic dining.
House - stunning lake view through huge floor to ceiling window, cozy, simple and tasteful interior, comfortable beds, kitchenette had all we needed to prepare simple vacation meals.
Stairs - getting up and down between car and house was a bit of an exertion but the stairs have good traction, are well lit, and have sturdy guardrails. We managed just fine with groceries and luggage.
Host - so friendly, kind, and helpful!
This house on the lake was such a welcome to return to after a day of hiking or visiting Victoria, Canada. The outdoors provided a place to relax in the sun, kayak, or a jump into the lake. We enjoyed playing games and waving at boaters as they went by. In the evenings, the views were stunning with the shimmering lights of properties around the lake.
This cabin was in a beautiful location! It was close to Port Angeles and the perfect location to explore Olympic. My kids had a great time using the kayaks that were provided. My family enjoyed soaking in the hot tub while taking in the sunset and scenery. The view can't be beat!
This cabin is great. It was beautiful being on the lake and enjoying the stars at night. It is well stocked with essentials and cooking supplies, as well as plenty of beds, games, and towels. The stairs are steep coming in but felt safe with the metal grips to go up and down. And I loved the hot tub and fire pits to lounge in and around. Would recommend!
