We loved our two nights at Hope Cottage. The house is clean, located in a quiet & safe neighborhood, and decorated nicely. We could tell the owner takes pride in the house. Our adult daughter slept on the sofa bed. Even though the sofa mattress was thin, she was comfortable. Just be aware that anyone on the sofa has to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was very nice with a walk in closet. The large TV let me sign into Netflix and Amazon. The kitchen had everything we needed. Located very close to Olympic National Park visitor center. We highly recommend staying here!
Wonderful place! Amazingly well equipped and comfortable! Quiet, safe area. Note, all the instructions received via email and on line (and instructions on the refrigerator) says to use our code on the key box, then use the key. That didnât work. The access code is now directly on the door pad. The separate key lock box (staff) must have a different code. You should change your instructions.
The cottage was very clean and kitchen was stocked with the basic essentials. Location worked very well as a base for exploring Olympic National Park for several days.
We loved Hope Cottage! It was perfect for me and my two kids to explore much of the peninsula. Everything was clean and thoughtful. It was such a nice space. The managers were wonderful about communication. The location felt very safe, even as a female traveling with young children We loved staying there and were sad to move on!
Cozy little place. Equipped with everything you need and quite clean and comfy. Heaters worked beautifully, though were a little noisy. Excellent location to get to national park and downtown Port Angeles.
This property is right at the base of ONP's Hurricaine Ridge entrance. It was extremely convenient for all our activities while visiting Port Angeles. The kitchen was well stocked and the unit was in a quiet location. We would stay here again if visiting the area primarily because of the location.
We stayed here to be close to the national park. Itâs right at the base of the road going up to hurricane ridge which was perfect. It was just what we needed for our short visit. Clean and comfortable.
We loved our stay at Hope Cottage. It was very clean and incredibly comfy. Great location for our Olympic National Park exploration. Nice kitchen set up. The owner was communicative throughout the process. Very good find.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this quiet and clean cottage. We were delighted to see deer in the yard in the morning and evening. It was very convenient to the Olympic Visitors Center and to Hurricane Ridge. There is a great bakery close by too.
Perfect for my son and I and a short visit. I allying distance to park Visitor Center. Everything you need in town. Cute, clean, and well-stocked. Responsive owner.
My stay at Hope Cottage was absolutely wonderful. As a woman traveling alone, it was the perfect amount of space and a comfortable place to rest after a long day of exploring Olympic National Park. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. I will absolutely be returning!
Overall we had a great experience staying in this cottage to explore nearby National Park locations and the northern coast. The kitchen is well appointed. The pillows are thin and uncomfortable.
Very comfortable place and perfectly located for nearby hiking!! Plenty of linens, though only 4 sets of dishes and no dishwasher so longer stays will require some handwashing of dishes. Not a big deal. Like all rentals just salt and pepper but had a small mix of teas available. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. Check out was not bad as some places can be. Wash, dry, and put away dishes, start load of towels, and take garbage out. Easy check in and out. Easy to contact owners. I recommend this place!
We would definitely stay here again. The only hitch was some confusion when trying to find the place via GPS â but when we checked the directions emailed before our stay, we found it with no problem.
When you offer a pull out bed there should be sheets and pillows. The light bulbs in the bathroom were burned out. There is a coffee pot provided and youâd think thereâs be a few pods to get you started for your first morning there. . Youâd also think thereâd be a cutting board and maybe a few baggies. We were very much disappointed and not very satisfied.
Hopefully those things can be corrected for the next guests.
Only have one CON which was disappointing. The rest is all PROs. Iâll start with the PROs by saying this place was super cute. The remodel was nicely done, with attention to detail and good use of space. Clean, quaint in a great location by Olympic Park and the Warf. The stove was an antique and a little hard to navigate, but I wonât count that as a CON. Made some nice meals once I figured out it was safe to use. The only CON was they had zero consideration for my late checkout request ad a remote business traveler. I had an unexpected Monday morning meeting arise at 11:30 and checkout was 11AM. I asked if I could checkout at 12 noon so I could conduct my meeting, then leave. Answer was âNOâ. That was frustrating given I paid top dollar for this rental. At $700 for three night stay, I thought theyâd allow a 1hr grace period. That wasnât cool. As a frequent traveler, I depend on flexibility and customer service so this single incident of not allowing me a 1hr late checkout to use thier wiFi for a meeting will prohibit me from staying at this location again. I highly doubt the cleaning crew was showing up at 11AM and the courtesy to let me conduct my unexpected meeting there would have gone a long way! Instead I rushed to check out at 10:45 and find a nearby coffee shop with WiFi and outdoor seating to not disrupt other patrons. Disappointed.
lawn was overgrown and many weeds causing increase allergy symptom's. no starter package of tolet and paper towels. they wanted shoes off anytime in the house. for the the cost not a good deal, will try a deffernt rental company next visit.
This property was perfect for the two of us. It had a nice little yard, was quiet and close to the Olympic National Park entrance. If you go, check out The Fine Arts center up the street, they had an amazing free, outdoor art park.
Small , but everything was done nicely. Views of water from the front windows. Views of snow capped mountains behind the unit . Parking is easy. Close to whatever you want in Port Angeles.
