Amazing house with exceptional service by hosts! My family (there was 14 of us ranging 8-75 years of age) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angel and JJ's home. This is by far the best rental I've ever stayed at - thoughtful touches throughout. Really felt like staying at home but with fantastic views of Lake Erie and a walkable neighborhood. Easy access to beaches and other amenities - Angel was helpful and responsive to suggestions and questions we had. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The house was perfect for our large group! We spent so much time on the front porch in the rocking chairs and on the patio for dinner and around the fire making s'mores. We already miss Lake Erie!!!

The house is so loved and cared for by the hosts! Our family had plenty of room to enjoy our time inside, and the big front yard was very busy all week! And the view of Lake Erie is priceless!! Great large group site!

Expensive for what you get

We stayed at this property for two nights with 6 family members. The property charges a significant cleaning fee and requires either a purchase of damage insurance or a large deposit. Overall we felt it was too expensive for what you get. Positives—It was clean and the furniture is comfortable and the house is close to downtown and the tourist boats. If you have a very large group and are going to cook and spend most of your time in the house it might be ok but for a smaller group it is not a good value. The house is nice but is on two busy streets. One in front and one on the side— the traffic is very noisy with loud cars starting early in the morning and going late into the night. The host was very nice and responsive —- there was no heat for the first day and night we were there — it was March and the house was 60 degrees! The host apologized profusely but I was surprised she did not offer a discount on our stay because of it. Check before you rent this house re toiletries —-The house is not normally stocked with soap or toiletries in bathrooms and there were no hairdryers until I called to complain. The host did send those supplies by delivery service but I had to unpack them and place them in all the bathrooms. Not what I would expect for what we paid for each night.

Beautiful home, view, location!

Everything about this house was top notch. Our family of 6 adults and 6 young children were quite comfortable for our week long stay. Fantastic kitchen, spacious living and dining room area along with plenty of outdoor space including a big front porch and yard were perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Kids especially loved the large third floor dorm space with the loft.

Perfection

We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay. The house was big, and beautiful , and accommodating. It was well equipped with everything one could need. The beds were comfortable. The owner was thoughtful and communicated well. The location was safe and gorgeous and near all the desired activities in the area. It was a very quick and nice drive to Sandusky. The Jet Express ferry was within walking distance. Sitting on the porch looking over the water was the perfect way to end our long days. Thank you for the great stay!

Family Getaway Weekend - So much fun!!

We stayed with our kids and grandkids over Labor Day Weekend and enjoyed our visit so very much! The view of the lake was amazing! We spent each evening on the patio around the firepit. We cooked out on the grill. Our family was so comfortable in the beautifully decorated spaces of family room, kitchen and dining room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect to accommodate our family. We spent 2 days on the nearby beach, built sand castles and swam in the lake. We took a short ride to the Jet Express and went to Put in Bay. It was the perfect place to stay and create wonderful memories!! Thank you!!

Great Family Gathering House

This house was all we needed for a fantastic family reunion. With the generous dining room size and the outdoor patio, we ate together at the house for every meal. The front porch was a wonderful gathering spot for afternoon visits in the rocking chairs. Our family ranged in age from 2 to 78 and it worked well for all. The new finish out is beautifully done, and the house was exceptionally clean. I recommend this property for any larger group. Looking to spend time together and enjoy the beauty of lake Erie.

Beautiful lake view; beautiful stately but comfortable updated older home.

13 members of our family (ages 11-73) coming from 3 different states just completed a lovely Ohio vacation at this stately (but with all modern amenities) home. The house has a beautiful beach right in front, a ferry just a walking distance away to get to the islands, and a short drive to Cedar Point. Beautiful home, gracious hosts. Wonderful experience.

Great house to make family memories

Spent 3 nights and 4 days at this beautiful, clean home with family. 10 of us (6 adults and 4 kids) fit great with room to spare. My two boys loved the bunk bed room and we loved that my brother’s family used the whole third floor since they have younger kids and it had it’s own kitchenette. The front porch had amazing views and there were plenty of rocking chairs which was perfect. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Only thing we wished we had were more towels per person as we had to do a few loads of towels to make it through. That said, it was a minor thing and we had a blast and will definitely be back. 😀
