This is a fantastic property for a family beach getaway. The location and overall amenities were very nice. We enjoyed the heated pool in January and the private walkway to the beach. Only complaints are the need for a thorough deep cleaning including HVAC supplies (dusty and grimy) and the water only stays hot in the showers for around 5 minutes before getting lukewarm. Neither are dealbreakers but should be addressed by the property manager. Loved the back deck for watching the sunset, and that everything in the home was in working order. A great option for Cape San Blas and could become excellent with a few minor touches!

The pictures on the website are not an accurate representation of the house. The house is in disrepair-rubbed off paint, chipping paint, peeling wallpaper, broken cabinets, broken shower light, broken dishwasher. Nothing has been updated for years. The repairs that have been made were done very poorly. Not worth the high weekly fee.

Mother’s Day weekend

While this property has so much potential, the upkeep and poor cleaning just could not be overlooked. Rather than disrupt our time together and report our findings to have it cleaned again, we opted to clean the areas ourselves and enjoy the sunshine. As our group arrived we found several areas of concern related to the previous cleaning of the home. High touch areas, such as the kitchen counter tops and refrigerator handles were found dirty. Cookie and chip crumbs found in various areas of the home (living area and a bedroom). The paper blinds covering the door off of the kitchen are dirty around the door handle. The bathroom on the main floor had hair hanging from shower hose and the sink drains extremely slow. The bathroom fixtures are black making it difficult to determine cleanliness. The interior of the home, including the ceiling, could use a good paint job. The walkway to the beach is terribly overgrown with seagrass and other vegetation. The pool area around the fencing could use some additional cleaning as well. The management office was easy to reach when we lost hot water. We were able to correct this due to tripped fuse and maintenance did not have to come. Overall, our group had a great time together at the beach, shopping, and enjoying the local restaurants. However, I would not stay at this property again.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful 12 days at this property, and enjoyed the house and its location. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We would love to book again at this property if it’s available on our next visit.

Kids had an early spring break. We rented this house because it had a heated pool. I even paid an additional "heated pool fee". Pool heater did not work! Management did try to turn it on several times but it never heated. Big disappointment for the kids. I emailed the property managers after our stay to at least get the money back for "heated pool fee". So far crickets...

Indulgence indeed

Nice location. Piano and elevator very nice touch. Some mechanical issues, but management addressed problems in reasonable time. Views outside windows are beautiful. We would probably stay here again. Nice private access to beach.

The home was listed as 6 bedrooms but only had 5 bedrooms. We had an issue on a Sunday with the air conditioning and the property manager responded quickly and the unit was promptly repaired!

Beautiful property but needs attention. In master bathroom the secondary sink was only hot water, the secondary refrigerator freezer could not close properly, toilet issue and slow draining shower in two ot the other baths, damaged walls behind both nightstands in master suite, rats spotted outside deck area, and the elevator did not work.

Disappointing management

The house is in a great locationthe pool is nice. It was evident that the house had not been occuppied or cleaned in quite some time. We found trails of food crumbs under the couches and in kitchen making it a german roach haven. We found dust filled air filters that clearly hadn't been changed in months. Open safety pins found on floors. Property mgmt (360 blue) has no direct number to a live person, so we had to drive down to the office. After waiting in lobby for 30 minutes someone finally showed up to the office. They sent cleaners out to clean our first vacation day. After 4 hours of cleaning the house was finally clean. Still had roach issues & with a 9 month old crawling baby, this was problematic. The 2nd day of our vacation they sent the pest out at 830 am. We were told by the pest people we should leave the house for 6 hours. They also had to pour something down all the drains because there were pipe flies. The chemical the pest people poured in drains was so strong it ruined the kitchen sink and ate the fiberglass off the master tub, which led to cleaners coming again. During our stay the downstairs shower light and fan sparked and stopped working. The washing machine had so much mold & mildew the smell made it unusable. The biggest issue with our stay was the fact we couldn't reach the property mgmt. The house was nice but HORRIBLE management. If it were our house, we would find another management company. This company isn't taking care of this house.

Extended Family Vacation

This was our first extended family vacation in over 10 years. Cape Indulgence was a great place for this gathering. The house was very accommodating for the days that the weather was not beach friendly. Location on the island was perfect for our crew. Little bit of a walk down the boardwalk to the beach. But the private boardwalk allowed us to leave our chairs and tent at the end daily. Overall a great place for a large group.

Wonderful location and view!

The house was perfect for our family of 10 and two dogs. It was spacious, nicely decorated and had plenty of kitchen cookware and dishes. The pool was wonderful! It was shaded and provided a nice reprieve from the heat of the beach. The view was fabulous and the house provided a variety of porches to view it. The boardwalk to the beach crossed over wetlands which filled the night air with lots of chirping and birdsong. The location was secluded but close to the general store and ice cream shop. We had an issue with a clogged drain and the team was over there and had it repaired in minutes. I would highly recommend this home for your next family beach vacation.

Overall the house was what we hoped for - clean, spacious, well-appointed, and conveniently located. We arrived at dusk on a blustery Friday evening, and were unable to unlock the front door. Two of our party investigated the backside of the house, and were able to gain access to the main floor through a sliding door that was unlocked. At this point, we were able to unload our cars and move in. We had an uneventful night but ended up locked out after a full day of activities the next day because we locked up when we went out, but had not reported that the code did not work. We were able to contact the management company after hours and they were able to reprogram the electronic lock and provide us with a new access code, which worked on the first try. The only other issue that we had with the house were a few large cobwebs in the dining area and upstairs bathroom, and the dishwasher that smelled as if it had not been used or cleaned in a long time. We would return to this location in the future if these two issues were addressed and resolved.

Beautiful Beach Home

All of our family members enjoy this spacious home with private access to the beach. Some of the furniture needs attention (broken bed frame, leaning dining table and splitting fire pit chairs), but the player piano and the two fireplaces were enjoyed by all. Thank You.

Spacious and welcoming

This house was very spacious and well maintained. The property management company was extremely responsive to questions we had while staying. If I had to say one slightly negative thing, the 2 king bedrooms had uncomfortable mattresses with box springs so loud that you're almost afraid to roll over. Other than that, the place was perfect!

GREAT Property, careful of extra pool fees

LOVED LOVED LOVED this house! It was very clean, well appointed, convenient, great neighbors next door. I would stay here again. I would encourage the advertisers to make one change: The "hot tub/pool" that is advertised is NOT automatically heated; there is an extra fee to make it so, and that is not clear in the description.
