Check in staff was go nice and helpful. But throughout the stay staff seemed to not be hold the same status. We went to the restaurant to ask about breakfast the server we spoke to was very rude, and condescending

A beautiful hotel. Prompt service on a problem with a toilet. We were here for a conference with breakfasts at the hotel and a plated dinner. The dinner was poor. The breakfasts average.

The restaurant and front desk staff were outstanding in making us feel welcome. The food was wonderful. Room cleaning is only done on demand, so I was disappointed to have to repeat my request before my room was attended to. The door was actually left unlocked by housekeeping with the bed unmade. They can do better.

Great downtown large scale hotel. Easy check in and car drop off (valet) Impressive reception and entrance area - very opulent. Nice rooms with a comfy bed. Great shower and bathroom facilities. We had a street view which was nice.

We really hope downtown Portland bounces back, but there are still concerns about the addicts in the area and people on the sidewalk. I would not feel safe walking there by myself, which is unfortunate. We did park in the lot across from the Benson and if I hadn’t been with my husband, I would not have been comfortable walking even that far. The Benson itself was lovely and I hope that the community continues to recover

The room is super basic and the beds are just ok. Our toilet overflowed and we were told this occurs often. Location is great and Clarissa at the front desk is amazing.
