The room is hot with only a small fan. The bathroom is poor, the shower only trickles with tepid water, no bath mat. The bed is very soft with uncomfortable pillows.
The place wasn't too bad in all there were a few issues the wall paper was pealing in places. Although there was 2 of us staying there they kept leaving only one towel as well.
The room had a damp smell when walking in an attempt to diaguise it by peaving windows open did not work. Room was covered in cobwebs, had 1 cup for 2 people and 1 bath towel for 2 people. Staff were super friendly all over the hotel and restaurant but ÂŁ200 for 2 nights for a damp dusty cobweb filled room is very disappointing.
The reception staff were very friendly. We had 2 huge rooms for a family stay but the rooms are of poor decoration and very outdated. The bathrooms had tap handles missing, an easy and cheap fix but just felt more like an outdated motel. The noise coming from people walking around above us was stopping us sleeping. The bedding/sheets were clean and having the restaurant was handy. Unfortunately I would not stay here again but you get what you pay for cheap and cheerful.
The staff were friendly. The place itself, oh dear, when it was last fitted out I'd guess they bought up the fittings from Crossroads motel, the place is so old and tired, the carpets are worn through and everywhere stinks of stale tobacco, everything is yellow, worn and tired, The bed was was lumpy, the pillows dire. The food in the adjoining pub was on the same level. Best thing about the place was the large carpark.
