This hotel really falls between "ok" and "good." The staff were fantastic -- helpful, friendly and polite. They are all doing an excellent job.
It is not there fault that some of the rooms have not been rennovated in decades. Mine had stained carpet - just from age and abuse, but still. The hotel's AC was completely shut off for winter, meaning there was no air circulation and the room was incredibly stuffy.
The staff did bring a fan for me and that, along with leaving the window open, helped a lot. However, my room was near to the entrance so an open window also meant putting up with disgusting cigarette smoke from guests smoking just outside of the lobby.
But, look, it's 2025. HVAC should work year round. The rooms get warmed up from showering, blow dryers, and from the sun shinning in.
The location was good -- lovely to walk to the nearby fortress and nice places to eat. Ubers are pretty cheap in Prague so it was easy to get in and out of the city center, but good to remember that traffic can be heavy at rush hour -- just plan around it.
