We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vicarage Cottage. It is indeed âa hidden gemâ and we would highly recommend it to future guests. The sizeable kitchen, cosy lounge, small landing and exquisitely decorated bedroom all contribute towards a most unique holiday destination. All communication with the hosts was positive and helpful. With many thanks to John and Paul for sharing this beautifully restored cottage with us.
Vielen Dank an John & Paul wĂŒnschen Martina & Otto
Delightful, old cottage in lovely, inspiring setting. Beautiful garden adjoining property and incredible main house which we were shown round on our last morning.
Gem of a cottage in a stunning but little known area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay in Vicarage cottage which has been renovated beautifully, giving a perfect balance of period features and modern day comforts.
We enjoyed numerous lovely walks and stunning scenery all from the cottage doorstep, visits to Presteigne and Knighton two pleasant nearby towns for drinks, pub meals and shops.
Paul & John really were the most welcoming and helpful hosts which made our stay just perfect.
Charming period cottage surrounded by wonderful countryside
We loved staying in Vicarage Cottage. It has been renovated and furnished to a high standard while keeping its period cottage feel. We enjoyed hearing from the owners about the renovation process and the history of the cottage and the Old Vicarage. There are good walks around the village and further afield, and Presteigne and Knighton are interesting small towns. It was a great pleasure staying there, and we had an excellent week combining relaxation and reading with excursions in the surrounding area. We highly recommend Vicarage Cottage!
The Vicarage Cottage is a gem: rich in character and historical delights, and yet tastefully updated for the 21st century so that it is cosy and as modern as it should be for the broadband and USB era. Paul and John were hugely welcoming as well as interesting and cultured hosts, and they even gave us a tour of the main house which they have been pajnsatkingly resorting to its full Victorian glory for the last 25 years. We greatly enjoyed our stay in Norton and would have no hesitation in recommending this place to others!
I highly recommend the vicarage cottage this beautiful little cottage is so well thought out, comfortable, homely, very well equipped with fantastic attention to detail and a great shower, with views over the neighbouring farm fields, in a quiet little village there's a co-op shop with a petrol Station a few miles away for the essentials, a perfect stay
Comfortable, atmospheric, cottage with great walks and views
Wonderful cottage in quiet location with outstanding views and walks nearby. Beautifully restored, and very well-equipped. Big kitchen for enjoyable dining. Surrounded with flowers and trees in the Vicarage gardens, next to the church. Easy to park, and lovely market towns within 10 mins drive. Recommended.

The cottage was perfect in every way. It's spacious yet cosy and comfortable, very well equipped and the living room fireplace is an added feature. The surrounding area is outstandingly beautiful with walks just a stones throw away. All in all one of the best places we've stayed in. Thank you Paul and John!
Wow. What a find. We are so pleased that we came across this charming little cottage. The cottage has so much character and the surrounding gardens are just beautiful. We had a lovely stay and found the owners very helpful and friendly.
Delightful and beautiful cottage with bags of charm and plenty of period features. Idyllic location amidst the rolling green Radnorshire hills, and fantastically placed for days out to the surrounding areas, such as booklovers' paradise, Hay-on-Wye and picture-perfect Ludlow. With friendly hosts too, we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone needing a cosy and charming countryside retreat.
Wow, what a quaint property! Absolutely perfect and wonderfully restored. Everything you could want in a quiet and peaceful Welsh location, yet a short drive away from amenities and places to eat. Paul and John were the perfect hosts.
The location of this place was really good for exploring Wales. A beautiful period home, with a very functional kitchen. Paul and John were great hosts and again the location was wonderful. Recommend them highly.
We had a lovely time again at The Old Vicarage, this time the weather was perfect. Always a warm welcome from John and Paul; looking forward to our next trip.
Honestly could not fault our stay in Vicarage Cottage, it was so wonderful that although we had planned to go out a few times we decided weâd rather stay in - so never actually made it out the front door until we left! The cottage itself is lovely and rustic, yet has a gorgeous modern bathroom - so best of both worlds really! It is in a nice, quiet location but with ease of getting to places - if you do actually manage to make it out! Truly a wonderful place to relax for a few days, highly recommend.
Old Vicarage cottage has been restored to a very high standard but has kept most of its original features from the past. It was like stepping back in time for the few days we spent there & it was warm & cosy too .... even with the snow outside. Had a great time & really enjoyed our stay.
