NO BEACH!!!!!! HORRIBLE! NO 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!!!!Misleading Beach and Poor Service – Not a 5-Star Experience!
I stayed at Margaritaville and was extremely disappointed by the misleading information and poor service. Upon check-in, no one informed us that we would be given a different room category than the one we had booked. We reserved a Paradise Swim-Up room but were assigned an Infinity Swim-Up room instead. If this was supposed to be an "upgrade," it should have been communicated to us. I didn’t like the Infinity room, so we had to move to the correct room the next day, which was much more beautiful.
But what really ruined our stay was the lack of access to the beach. The hotel advertises a beautiful beach, but when we arrived, there was barely any beach access, and the one available was closed. I complained to the manager, showing him the Expedia photos that clearly show a beach. First, his colleague tried to claim the beach belonged to the nearby hotel, and then the manager said it was Expedia’s fault, not the hotel's. I was told to call Expedia if I wanted a day pass to the other hotel, which was absurd! This was clearly misleading, and the hotel knows it. And if the stairs to the beach were damaged due to the Hurricane and they have another hotel 1miles away with a beach, why then await that the guest now has to pay a day pass for 125$? Shouldn't this be complimentary? Really ridiculous behavior from the hotel!!!! They should have told us in advance what is going on
