Loved the swim-up bars at the pools. Food was average....like cruise ship food. I was extremely disappointed in the concierge service. Told by concierge when we checked in that there was no availability at either of the signature restaurants. Talked to numerous new friends about their experiences and they were much the same...no room at the restaurants. so we walked in and requested a table and there was virtually no one in the places and wait staff was standing around and were immediately ushered to a table. This isn't right and hurts the reputation of the resort. And beside that the food was just ok. Loved the poolside service and the swim-up bars. Attentive wait staff and bartenders. Place was spotlessly clean. Service at Boathouse was outstanding. Ask for Christian or Maximiliano and rest assured you will have a great experience. Sargassum must be in full bloom as the seaweed was bad and the smell worse. If you got outside by the Landshark it was terrible. In the pool closest to the hotel, you couldn't smell the sargassum, so we stayed there all of the time. The Salted Rim Bar in the lobby made some very interesting craft cocktails, so suggest you give them a try. All in all it wasn't a bad vacation, just a few blips during the stay. I'd say 4/5!

The property itself was very clean and gorgeous! Every staff member we encountered was very friendly. However, we came at the wrong time of year (end of May) because there was so much seaweed and it smelled VERY bad. It smelled like rotten eggs and sewage. Therefore, we didn’t want to go to the swim up bar or do any outside activities because of the smell. We had a room with a pool on the balcony that we use only a couple times again because of the smell. The hotel did offer to move us up higher so that we wouldn’t smell it as much, but we couldn’t imagine that would help. Also, even if it did, it wouldn’t have solved the problem of us not being able to use the outside facilities. Our room was also right above a bar, so it was loud.Overall, I give the hotel four stars because of friendly service and cleanliness. Also, they can’t control seaweed smell. However, we couldn’t fully enjoy our stay because of it.

The property was pretty great. The food options were good and easily accessible. The resort size was perfect for walking. We stayed at a swim up room which was nice. The bartenders were good and the wait staff was awesome. Carlos in the Landshark restaurant was especially good. Couldn't say enough good about the staff and the facilities. We went on a few excursions and they were awesome. The Cons: We signed up for excursions which were great, but be aware they will ask you to sit through a sales presentation. No big deal for us it was a good deal but we chose not to sign up. It isn't quite a timeshare, but the presentation unsurprisingly took longer than the 1.5 hours. The beach got washed away last year in a Hurricane, so just be aware there is no beach access. Wasn't a huge deal for us but might matter to someone booking. Overall really enjoyed the resort and the staff, but just be aware what you might be getting into with the sales presentation and no beach. Definitely would stay again.

Been to over 30 all-inclusive resorts in Mexico over the years. While beautiful and new, it was by far the worst. The term "all-inclusive" here is a stretch at best. Pools and bars open late, close early. Food was the same every morning for two weeks straight. Room service hour and a half for a pot of coffee. I could go on and on...m Avoid at all costs! Everything about it is driven to prevent you from using the all-inclusive part and instead spend money on things not included. You've been warned...

The gym was clean and well maintained. The main pool could use more cleaning, but probably because it was the busiest pool with people spilling alcohol all the time. Restaurants were good, but the best for sure was the service. The manager at the Shark restaurant was incredible, always going out of his way to make sure everyone was having a good time. The bartenders had great attitude and Moeses was the one everyone was looking for, he was fun, great attitude and would remember the drinks for each person for the rest of the week.

The Good: excellence, attentive staff, very clean rooms, fantastic pool area. From my arrival to departure, everything was perfect from the staff accommodations to the amazing food (taco boat) and atmosphere. The pool area and relaxation was quite the experience. I would definitely recommend staying at this property if you want to have the time of your life.

Bar closes way too early limited food options. No adult activities. The point system you can only get chips and soda . Really? Umm .. nothing else . Horrible! Room service was so limited. If you’re eating the walk up and say.. we are closing in 45 minutes. And they start closing the buffet. No beach ‘n the pool is 3 feet. Not allowed in it after 7. They cater to the group that pays 100.00 a day to come each weekend from out in town. Everything was so expensive. The venders are there as you try to go to dinner. Pushy!! My TV broke . My air conditioner did not work. And if you say in your room for more than 15 minutes. Everything turned off. Like air, and lights. Paid way too much for nothing.
