The road leading to the hotel has way too many big bumps making the drive uncomfortable. 2 main dining out of the 4 restaurants on site were closed but we were not informed prior to booking which impacted our experience. Found a live insect in my food at the Mexican restaurant which makes me question the cleanliness in the back kitchens.

Very disappointed with our stay. The site advertised 6 restaurants and only 2 were available. 24 hour room service was 11am to 11pm. At 11 they stopped serving alcohol and actually kicked us out of the bar. Staff was rude. Our room took forever to get considering there was maybe 50 people on the whole resort. Our first room had a bunch of lizards which i was ok with since it is Mexico but there was a huge cockroach living in the sofa. The A/C also broke down. The whole resort is under construction which had very early morning banging. The beach was non existent. The only positive was the food. Although it was extremely limited it was delicious. Do not stay here. Not worth the money.

Absolutely 0 complaints about the food because everything was super good and they have several options. They are doing construction on the property but however once they are complete it’s going to add more beauty than it already has. Can’t wait to return.

We booked an ocean view suite and we didn't get that. We were told that we couldn't get that because it was limited. They wanted passports and not an id. Staff was amazing. The facility was under construction. Only 2 restaurants are open. No valet at nights. Hours for drinking are different than stated. Pool bar closes at 5pm. No more swimming after 8pm. You have to go to a bar that closes at 9:45pm to get beer. Sunday night a flight got cancelled & there was more ppl in the facility so this Monday morning you seen ppl walking around offering beverages. We never got that

They called it a soft opening, we did not realize that meant there would be construction. 4 of the 6 resteraunts were closed. Half of the pools as well,i give them slack since it was off season. The alcohol was name brand and the food was excellent. Staff was super,it was nice overall.

First, the transportation from the airport was a mess because no one knew this resort from the name listed (Selection Riveria Cancun), even with the address. Everyone knew this location to be called the PALMAR RESORT. So if you say that, you won't have troubles like we did. Secondly, our shower and our in-room hot tub NEVER got hot, not even warm! The in-room hot tub looks beautiful on the pictures, but we never got to enjoy that amenity. We unfortunately took cold showers our entire trip, even after speaking to the front desk and maintenance people. There is alot of construction going on within the property, so a lot of things are not available, including some restaurants. The staff was very pleasant and gave really good service from beginning to end. If you like to vacation with no crowds, this is the place for you. There were probably 5 other couples there in total, so we never had to wait long for anything at all, and it was very peaceful. Beautiful resort overall, but I would not stay here again.

Our stay at Selection Riviera Riviera Cancún was during renovations so the resort was fairly limited. The stay started off very inconveniently as the location reported on Expedia and Google was about a 20 minute drive from the resort which was irritating after a long journey. The property was overall good despite the renovations and the rooms were nice and spacious. The main problem is their beach is very small and was filled with smelly seaweed which essentially meant there was no beach access and the whole resort had an unfortunate smell. This combination made it very hard to spend a day at the resort and resulted in more expenses in order to try and enjoy a day at the beach or pool. The food and drinks are well prepared with enough options to satisfy you. The staff are also always ready to help you with anything you need although room service wasn’t exactly 24 hours in my experience.

Though there were very few guests, we had an amazing time. My husband and I were there for my birthday and the staff were amazing. By the end of our trip everyone knew us by name and addressed us very warmly. Food was amazing. Grounds and room was updated and clean. We look forward to coming back to see what it all looks like after renovation. Happy we got to have the place nearly to ourselves. I know it will be a hotspot soon.

Overall, Selection Riviera Cancún - All Inclusive is a great resort. The staff was excellent and the food was great. The road leading to the resort needs major work. At the time of our visit 09/29/2025 - 10/02/2025, the resort was undergoing renovations. We did not have beach access and at times there were issues with the hot water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I would visit this resort again when the renovations are complete.

The resort was under renovation. The website said they had five swimming pools, but there were only three pools that were open and also there was only one swim bar that was open but on Friday when I was there, they did have the other swim bar available. The only reason was because they had more guest that was coming to the resort. Also, they did not have many options available for dining on certain days. They were only maybe two places available to dine some days. There were no buffet restaurants to choose from, the food was very bland. The drinks were very watered down the waiters and the waitresses were very nice. I did not have a chance to explore the beach because the beach had a lot of seaweed and Sargassum on it. The water was very dirty and it had a smell to it, I also saw the workers dumping sand into the ocean. My room was really nice and comfortable, housekeeping cleaned and replenished my room with towels.

First of all, it wasn’t in their website that they are doing renovations, also 1 or 2 restaurants opened instead of 7 that is in their website. Pools are all no open either. Cannot swim in the beach, workers all over the place. The Resort name is so confusing too, I originally found Selection Riviera Cancun but when I was booking for airport transfer, they couldn’t find the so called Resort name. Shuttle agency tried everything to search this place but we go with picture and address. Me and my husband took the chance hoping not to be dropped off in the middle of nowhere. But MTS driver is so knowledgeable and resourceful. We found the Resort. After speaking to a staff that is the new Resort name by Nov. 2025. Figures not in the web site. We’ll, we are already booked so we tried whatever limited amenities they have due to big renovations all over.
