Wake Up $300 + Hotels

You know the service, cleanliness and helpfullness were superb. They called taxis for us in French, gave detailed instructions for us to get to Quebec's old city and reccomendations for local restaurants and even a local grocery store. The negatives were as we came back for night two we neither had our room cleaned, toilet paper replenished or new towels etc. Given that the door sign said do not disturb on one side but was blanc on the other might be a reason. I have one other huge beef with Delta Hotels and others. They and so many other $300 + a night hotels have no free breakfast. They and others could learn a lot from Hampton Inn and Suites who's breakfast and all other areas are superb.

I enjoyed my stay but please note that the hotel is severely understaffed and you can tell, long waits at the front desk, our room was not cleaned over the 3 nights we were there, etc. At the moment they are also under construction which may impact your stay as part of the pool is unusable and it smelled like paint fumes throughout our floor. The staff that was present was very understanding and helpful.

The property is extremely dated and we were put in an area of the hotel that is very old and dirty. There was only one functional elevator and it took 10-15 minutes waiting every time you had to take the elevator. Check in process was horrible, it took almost an hour to check in

I was charged twice for parking - still not resolved; carpets seemed worn and dreary; toilet didn’t flush well; the bed was very, very soft and needs to be replaced (Rm. 619?)); 6th floor ice maker didn’t work; and just strange beeping sounds throughout the hotel all thru the night - elevator?, when A/C kicked on?, etc. The whole place just seems to need to be updated to compete w/ other hotels and modern amenities. At check-in, the person working the desk seemed to have a problem finding my Bonvoy account #, so I have no idea if I rec’d credit. I came down to the restaurant in the am and just wanted coffee to go and seemed to get some pushback from employees because I didn’t want to sit down at that moment and have a full breakfast by myself. But the bellhop / doorman on Thurs was great and tried to help resolve my parking issue. He gave me next steps and even called Parkeo for me but just still not resolved

The good: Rooms are nice. Newly renovated. Staff is friendly. The bad: Advertised with breakfast, when we arrived I was told the kitchen is being renovated - no breakfast however we paid full price, the A/C in the room did not work, the hotel supplied a fan. But, what spoiled it for me was the town official who, seconds after we parked in front of the hotel, tried to give me a parking ticket (well I hope I dont get the ticket in the mail as he did take a picture of my number plate) what a weird way to welcome tourists. Maybe this guy spoiled it for me but this town will not be on my list to visit again.
