Although the property is nicely restored, we experienced a myriad of problems during our stay. First, we were staying at the property as part of a two-week trip to the northeast, so we chose it over others because it listed âlaundryâ as one of the amenities. Little did we know that their idea of having a laundry amenity was the local laundromat in town. There also was no ironing board on the property, just an iron in a box in one corner of the bathroom. Next, we thoroughly read the ownerâs handbook where it showed how to use the split a/c unit and change from a/c to heat. When we got there the remote controls for both units had âdo not change modesâ written on them. It turns out that the only heat available was a gas fireplace located in the living room and far from the bathrooms where you shower. The temps got down to 35 and the inside was chilly, as you might imagine. The manual also described where to take out the trash, but there was not a trash can in sight. There were numerous other small issues, but the last thing to mention was the only closet in the entire place was a small coat closet by the front door with 2 hangers. Neither bedroom had a place to hang anything up. The property management firm had a number where someone answered 24/7, but it wasnât a local person and they had to call someone local. But even they didnât know how to get heat or dispose of trash. Itâs a shameâthis property has so much potential but major issues.
