What a lovely home! Just the right location to be in the jungle and yet close enough to amenities as needed. This space was perfect for our 10 adults, enough room to be together or apart. We cooked in often and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The pool was a lovely added bonus for cooling off.Susan was fabulous about communicating and assisting in our adventures. Thank you to Elyin and Scott as well.We would definitely rent here again if, or when, we return to Manuel Antonio. Pura Vida!

The host was very welcoming. The accommodations exceeded the pictures. The open air floor plan allowed for relaxed, comfortable, private living. The concierge was extremely helpful with any questions we had. We encountered some medical issues with one of our guests and got immediate help.

A piece of heaven

Our stay here was absolutely unforgettable! The host was incredibly responsive and attentive, and the chef and maid service were both outstanding—every meal was delicious, and everything was kept spotless.One of the highlights was how the rainforest truly became part of our experience. We were surrounded by nature, with monkeys and exotic birds visiting us right on the terrace—such a magical and unique touch! It felt like a private jungle retreat. I highly recommend this place and would love to return

We rented this house for a birthday trip with friends. The house was exactly as described and then some. The maid service, which included our personal laundry and cleaning the house everyday, was so helpful and appreciated. The restaurants and wellness center in town were such a bonus too.

Casa Elsa was by far one of the most unique places I've ever rented. We stayed at the property for a week right after Christmas and it more than exceeded our expectations. It rained for the first few days we were there but the beautiful open air house made up for it. The kitchen was as well stocked as any VRBO I've rented and the beds were very comfortable. You must get the chef option! Chef Roberto and his brother Roma were fantastic and made wonderful food for us. My three teenage sons and their two cousins loved seeing all of the wildlife in the trees. We were visited by monkeys on a daily basis and saw troops of squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, and howler monkeys. We took my 85 year old mom and definitely needed a taxi to get her to and from the beach - it's too steep and rocky of a road for her to get there on her own, but the taxis were pretty easy to call. I would love to visit there again sometime!

Perfect Stay That Exceeded Expectations!

We had an unforgettable experience at Casa Elsa, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we booked, Susan, the concierge, was amazing. She helped us plan our trip months in advance, assisting with excursions, transportation, and every little detail to ensure our stay was seamless. She even greeted us upon arrival and gave us a thorough overview of the property, which made us feel right at home. One of the standout features of the property was the incredible wildlife. Each day, we were visited by a variety of birds, and we had multiple visits from Squirrel Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, and Capuchin Monkeys — it was an absolute highlight for the whole family! Another highlight was the private chef. The meals were far beyond anything we could have had dining out, and the view from the kitchen balcony made every meal feel special. This was our first experience with a private chef, and it quickly became one of the high points of our trip. The entire family still talks about it! The location was also fantastic. We enjoyed walking to breakfast and coffee each morning, just a short 5-minute stroll away. Plus, the beach was only a 15-minute walk, making it easy to enjoy both the town and the ocean without needing a car. We absolutely loved our time at Casa Elsa and will undoubtedly book this location again when we return to Costa Rica. Highly recommended!

Our stay at this house was fantastic. The open-air layout allowed us to fully experience nature, and we had amazing wildlife sightings. Susan, the concierge, was really helpful, and Chef Renzo prepared incredible meals. The house was clean and comfortable throughout our stay; even with it being open air the housekeeper kept it spotless. The area felt safe, and it was convenient to get into town. Overall, a perfect blend of adventure and comfort in a stunning location. We will be back!

4 Days in Paradise

My wife and I spent 4 days at Casa Elsa for a much needed get away and it was AMAZING! Words cannot describe how peaceful and serene the accommodations were. We lived like royalty, the entire staff made sure our every need was met and the Chef...Renzo...was the icing on the cake...5 STARS! Saw wildlife everyday without having to leave the house...but please get out as there are GREAT restaurants within walking distance and the Park is just around the corner. We will make every effort to stay at Casa Elsa again. Cheers to Scott and his entire team for sharing this piece (peace) of heaven with us!

Nature and privacy in amazing location

Wow! We just LOVE Casa Elsa. We’ve been renting private vacation homes for 20 years and we’ve loved them all, but this is the only one that we’d return to. The house immerses you in the jungle canopy and nature. We saw more wild life sitting at the house than we saw in any of the parks. Troops of squirrel, capuchin and howler monkeys daily. Macaws constantly flying by, along with toucan’s, motmots, quetzals and more bird sightings. We also saw a kinkajou with a baby. All this just feet from the patio.. or in the cases of the monkeys, sometimes hanging in the house. We are generally a very active crew, but we spent a lot of time in the house because it was so special. The house is very private and the location cannot be beat
 easy walk (small hike) to multiple beaches and to incredible restaurants with spectacular views. We liked Emilio’s, Milagaros, La Lambretta, but there are tons of options within walking distance. I’d also recommend having Chef Renzo for portion of your stay for a private dining experience with the freshest fish prepared bespoke to your tastes. The Canopy Tour zipline was great fun and deep in nature too. I’d recommend this for families and friends that truly love the outdoors. Leave your alarm clock at home and relying on a morning wake up call from the howlers where you’ll catch the last of the stars and to enjoy the sunrise with the local wildlife residents. A special thanks to Susan who made our trip special and easy.
