The beach was a minute walk from our room. There are a few trees (with monkeys and birds in them) you walk by and then the beach. The hotel was so cute and all the staff were friendly and nice.

Absolutely perfect hotel! The wildlife, staff and accommodations were fantastic. Many different tourists, from around the world, and even the guests were kind and friendly. We loved our stay at Verde de mar. It’s directly on the beach and I seen more monkeys here than we did at the park. The hotel staff are all so friendly and helpful. Randall at the front desk helped us many times trying to figure out restaurants and directions. Ronny and the Cook ( sorry I forgot his name )at the little restaurant in the hotelwas so kind and we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast there every day. My favourite part was playing with the cat Samy .

There was a very short walk to a beautiful beach. Staff were friendly. There was a dehumidifier in the bathroom and after showering the bathroom was dry in about an hour!! I’ve never seen that before in a humid climate. It was odd that there were no hand towels, but that’s my only suggestion. We would absolutely stay there again.

Clean room. Bring a key for the lock box. Room itself is okay but location was great! Great location, right on a beautiful beach, can walk to Manuel Antonio park and restaurants. The pool and grounds were nice and well maintained. You will need to rent a chair/umbrella on the beach from locals, about $20/ day for 2 chairs and an umbrella if you choose this option, though I think you can negotiate this price. We had daily visits from monkeys.

I loved this hotel! It is an older property right on the beach with beautiful pool. Perfectly situated for parks, recreation and walking distance to restaurants. It has an on site restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. It's not fancy but it's clean, comfortable and the room a.c. works great! Everyone does get up kinda early to watch the wildlife surrounding the hotel so if you like to sleep late forget about that....for me was perfect! No need to set actual alarms!! And you will see monkeys, macaws and the occasional sloth!! Saw more animals while hanging out at the hotel than some of the parks!! Highly recommend for the low maintenence traveller!!
