We loved the vibe in the space, and especially the easy walking path along the creek and through the forest to the shopping center with so many great restaurants and shops.
We loved the concept - looked like they converted a part of their back porch into a three-room living space. The all-glass-walls made dining that much more enjoyable. But, there were detractors. As much as we liked being able to peer outside from anywhere in the room, there was approximately 16 linear feet of glass that was uncovered - no curtain, no shades, no blinds. A 10â fence on that side was not enough to make us feel we had privacy. Our unit and the Jacuzzi needed pressure washing - there was no shortage of algae and cobwebs. On the inside, a corner of the comforter was ripped. The toilet was wobbly and the tank leaked bad enough to refill regularly throughout the day. The owners were warm and welcoming, ready to assist in any way. But, their unit needs attention.
Great place to stay. The neighborhood is quiet and a quick, easy drive to UNC. There were two separate rooms/beds so we were not squished together. It is clean and spacious. The photos do not do the space justice. Itâs super cute and relaxing. The host kindly allowed me to charge my electric vehicle. Which was an unexpected bonus.
The property is like an extension of a house in a beautiful neighborhood. While it is not fancy, it was a very cozy and comfortable one bedroom with an adjoining t.v. room and a bathroom. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very informative and friendly when our passes crossed but they leave you alone and allow you the privacy that they also enjoy. There is a microwave, toaster oven and a dorm fridge but i would not plan on cooking anything unless it is toasting a bagel or microwaving a pizza. Overall, i will give this property two thumbs up. If you do have someone traveling with you the bathroom is a little small and any noises in the bathroom will carry into the t.v. room if you know what i mean!!! We have been married 29 years so she is used to my "sounds"!!
The property was excellent and as advertised. It's a great spot, very convenient to things, but set in a wooded neighborhood that makes it seem off the beaten path. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back.
Decor was good alternative to blandness of most hotels and motels. Location in Chapel Hill is excellent. Heating unit is totally inadequate for all but balmy weather. Immaculately clean. No change of sheets or towels during our 5 day stay. Square footage is generous.
The interior of the VRBO was VERY nice. We would definitely consider staying there again. But..the exterior was very unkempt. Covered with mildew & cobwebs. We were dressed for a wedding suit & gown
We had to maneuver out of the unit, trying to avoid the mildew& cobwebs and dirt. It should be made to look more welcoming..
A great place with an outdoor view for a couple to relax and rest
We stayed at this quiet place for 11 days. We walked the nearby Booker Creek trial daily, leading to the Eastgate shopping mall for breakfast and an early dinner. The place has an oven and toaster but no stove to cook. That worked out for us as it made it easier to walk daily. The host Nathan was very responsive. We would stay there again.
A private sanctuary in a quiet residential neighborhood. Access down a narrow gravel path and narrow steps, so beware. Spacious, and clean bathroom, comfortable bed. A good value!
This place in in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and it felt like it was in the middle of the woods, even though there were neighbors close by. My only issue is, I have trouble sleeping if conditions aren't perfect for me. The place is attached to the main house, and the porch light shines directly into the sleeping area, which has 3 walls full of sliding glass doors. It would have been better if they had put the bed in the back room (dark with no windows) and used the sleeping area as the living area. Other than that, it was a really nice place to stay.
