Itâs a super cute little property and was the perfect size for my teenage daughter and me. I loved how well appointed the space was. The neighbors are quiet and we even had lightning bugs as well as deer munching their way through the yard. The instructions for the home indicated that if the WiFi wasnât able to connect upon arrival or anytime throughout our stay, we were to unplug and plug the modem in to reset it. We had no issue logging in the first evening, but by the next day we had no WiFi even after unplugging it and plugging it back in. The router wasnât where they said it would be so I was concerned I unplugged the wrong device; I reached out to the host but I never heard back until the following day with the same troubleshooting instructions. They of course didnât work, so we had WiFi for only the first several hours of our 3 days at the home. When I explained that, he didnât respond until I followed up as we checked out asking for compensation for no wifi. It was super disappointing because thatâs how the tv had access, and we couldnât download show to our apps on our phones. The other thing I noticed was, although a clean home, there are some areas that have been ignored. Specifically in the bathroom; the wall across from the shower has hair and dust that have collected over time. If those things are taken care of Iâd absolutely stay in the home again; the area was spot on for a quick tour of Chapel Hill!
My family stayed in the cottage for about a week and on numerous occasions said they could imagine living there. The house was perfectly situated in town near all the amenities we needed. It was clean and had everything to make our stay comfortable and cozy. Highly recommend this rental for anyone coming to the Chapel Hill area!
We enjoyed our stay in this cute cottage. It was my husband and I and it was a nice place to come relax after the fun on Franklin and campus activities. It is close enough to walk in order to get a little exercise (about 30 minutes) and we also had a car for the later nights. It was clean and comfortable and very private. We didn't cook more than toast and coffee but it appeared to have all that you would need and the bedding was clean and plus. We would definitely stay here again!
The little cottage was clean and comfortable and contained everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Its location was close enough to Franklin Street for a quick zip up in the car. The distance is also walkable if youâd rather leave the car, although there is an incline for most of the walk to Franklin Street. We are completely satisfied with our booking.
Enjoyed this small cottage for a weekâs stay. Felt like a deer could be walking in the woods surrounding the property.
Appreciated the washer and dryer as we are on a long trip.
Property is cute & nicely put together. However strong musty mildew odor throughout, very dusty from underneath the beds, bed headboards, baseboards & window sills and exterior of refrigerator. Lacks basic supplies (paper towels, kitchen garbage bags, hand/dish towels). Had to use bathroom towel to clean up a kitchen spill. Provided check in info day of check-in only after I had to request it. Provided info on free use of local YMCA a day after we checked in, this information would be more helpful if provided prior to our arrival for packing & planning purposes. All these little things just added up to a meh stay.
Arrived late evening due to flight weather delays. No lights on. Dark. To enter, you must use stepping stones to side yard gate and through side yard stepping stones to unlock key lock. The small 2 bed 1 bath cottage was fine for our 3 night stay. Beds and pillows comfy. Kitchen has basic essentials. Near the last day we figured out how to shut the repurposed bathroom door (lift up on the right side and push left on the top. Awkward to use the toilet steps away from kitchen and small living room w a door that we couldnât close for a couple days. Bath towels were damp upon arrival. We dried using the dryer. There was no Wi-Fi and therefore no TV during our entire stay. We notified the owner. They indicated theyâd made an attempt to have router replaced. They informed us 13 days ago theyâd refund us $100. Still have yet to receive it. That speaks volumes to us.
Super cute cottage conveniently located in Chapel Hill. It even had a welcome committee of a mother deer with two babies greet us when we arrived. :D Property owner is very helpful and responsive, and it was perfect for our needs.
This lovely remodeled cottage fit our needs perfectly. #1 requirement for us is cleanliness and we werenât disappointed! Nothing was overlooked. Itâs a very tiny place but roomy enough for us. You canât beat Brad for quick response for anything.. Heâs pleasant, approachable, and efficient. We hope to return soon!
