Ok hotel. Clean, close to airport, felt safe and it was quiet. It did not have on site laundry as advertised on the website however and the continental breakfast was cold cereal, English muffin or bagel, or a microwaveable egg sandwich. Better than nothing I guess.

Nice clean place to stay, but is a little dated. Two stores with no elevator. Make sure to ask for bottom floor if stairs are an issue. Has heated outdoor pool which is a nice feature. Breakfast is provided, but don’t expect much. Evening staff was great and personable, morning crew not so much.

Avoid at all costs

Where do I begin? This hotel has got to be one of the worst places we've ever stayed. You get what you pay for, I guess. Incredibly rude and unfriendly staff for starters. The rooms are old, they smell, and very outdated. They are not like they show in the pictures. The beds are old uncomfortable flat spring beds. The towels were dirty! So, the sheets probably were too. The breakfast was sad. Cereal and toast. One toaster. Lack of outlets. The pool was small and clearly shows it's never gets cleaned as there is a lot of dirt, bugs and whatever else floating in it. The only positive thing about this place was the temperature of their pool, it was very warm. Spend the extra, stay somewhere else

Bait and switch advertising. On Orbitz it said there were cribs and when we got there they said they never had cribs! She also said she needed credit card for incidentals and each of my rooms was charged $10.

No elevator so if your at all handicapped you better make sure to book on ground floor very steep narrow stairs.I think the room was fairly clean but it’s kind of hard to tell because all the furniture is very old with stains on them carpet was also stained and very old and worn bathroom was clean.the air conditioner was very noisy and didn’t work right.breakfast was cereal they did have bagels to toast and we were told at check-in that if we ask the front desk they would give us a frozen jimmy dean breakfast sandwich that we could nuke.There were also a few old vehicles broken down and with a couple of flat tires in the parking lot they look like have been there for awhile. Rapid City is pretty expensive this time of year especially so it is one of the cheaper motels to book but I’ll go ahead and spend the extra cash next time we were disappointed with our stay and will find somewhere else next time

The front desk clerk was extremely rude and unresponsive. She asked for an ID and when I showed it she didn't speak but just pointed at a scrap of paper stuck to the counter that stated they wouldn't rent to anyone with a local address. I tried to explain that I had a different address but hadn't changed my driver's license but she just stood there pointing at the note

Fridge, microwave, coffee maker and decent selection of channels on tv. Depending on the room will depend if you have good wi-fi or terribly slow lagging wi-fi. Mattress was older and saggy, woke up with a sore back. Ample and safe parking.

Fix the shower in 230 so there’s water pressure. Fixed the ac so it doesn’t rattle. And the people at the front desk actually greet me instead of just staring at me and acting like I’m and inconvenience to their smoke break

The front desk clerks were nice and friendly. It is a decent hotel with decent location. They need more seating for breakfast and adding a simple waffle maker would be nice. I like that the hotel is for tourists only. I enjoyed chatting with fellow travelers. I would stay here again.

Needs Improvements to Match the Cost

We stayed at Foothills Inn for three nights. It was okay overall. The hotel is definitely older, but it's kept fairly clean. Housekeeping made the bed daily, which was nice, but they didn’t restock basics like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, or towels unless I asked. I had to go down to the front desk just to get toilet paper. The breakfast was very basic—a minimal continental spread. For the price, we expected more. They apparently offer frozen breakfast items too, but they weren’t out in the open—you had to ask for them at the front desk, which we didn’t know until later. I asked for some milk for my child, and when I checked the fridge, the bottles were nearly empty. The front desk restocked it, but it took quite a while. Another inconvenience was that the key card access from the back entrance wasn’t working, so we had to use the main entrance every time. To be honest, it felt like we were staying there at their expense. I didn’t hate the stay, but it didn’t feel worth what we paid. I booked through Hotels.com, and I’m not sure if they charged more than the regular rate. There’s also no public washroom in the main lobby, which was inconvenient. If this place was half the price, it might be worth it for what they offer. But as it stands, it just didn’t feel like good value.
