Great location but the room we stayed in had a very odd layout in a odd corner - 1. the tiny bathroom/toilet where the teeny tiny walk-in shower had a useless glass door that did nothing to keep the water from splashing out into the dry areas. There was a *mop* provided by the hotel which guests are apparently supposed to use to clean the floor after every shower! 2. the front desk staff do not attend phone calls from the room. You need to go down to the front desk in case you have a request. 3. The only window in our room was overlooking an office building where you can see people at their desks. We stayed there for 2 days and did not appreciate any of the above. We were glad to checkout out of the hotel. Won't recommend/return.

We could not be happier with the Center Hotel at Arnahvol. The location was simple to find (diagonally across the street from Harpa Concert Hall). The Yellow Fly Bus ( stop # 5 ) took us right across the street. We had easy scenic walks to every place we tried to find. The local eateries were amazing. The Sky Lounge where the breakfast buffet is served was gorgeous with views of ocean and surrounding mountains. Honestly, it was perfect for us!

Great location. Hotel a little dated but comfortable. We were only there for one night. Easy to walk to places. Bus stop across the street from hotel. Cruise shuttle and hop on hop off stops there and our pick up for Sky Lagoon.

Smaller room, but very clean and friendly staff. Well located with a gorgeous rooftop lounge/restaurant overlooking the harbour. Parking available nearby. Breakfast available is a great deal as food is quite expensive in Iceland. Enjoyed yummy cocktails in the skylounge with it’s panoramic views. Walking distance to so many things.

It was easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do as well as to the city bus line we needed to take to pick up our rental care. The plate of macaroons and brownies on arrival was a nice touch. The front desk staff were all very pleasant and knowledgeable.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel which was centrally located. We had a view of the water from our room and it was a short walk to get to a selection of restaurants in town. There are a few parking spots at the hotel, but we did not have trouble finding on-the-street parking for our rental car.

Good Value, Convenient Location.

The hotel is conveniently located near the old harbor and a short walk to museums and central city area. Good for a few days stay. No closet or space for clothes storage; so you are living out of your suitcase. Good breakfast which is reasonably priced if booked with stay. No food service after breakfast, just rooftop bar with limited and expensive snack foods. Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good location with nice views of the water. Nice lounge on the top floor with great views. Everything was good for the cost with the only issue being the impractical shower which was a quarter glass and was nearly impossible to shower without getting water everywhere. Also no storage in our room so ww lived out of suitcases. Otherwise all good.

Conveniently located near downtown. P3 parking zone close by. Comfortable and clean room. Only downside was sulphur water which made bathroom experience less than optimal. Otherwise great spot hopefully they fix the water situation.

Friendly efficient staff with some locker storage. excellent Sky Bar on the top floor. Very good happy hour, early and late night. Had good snacks also. Hop On Hop Off Bus number 1 stop is right across the street from the hotel.

Lovely and accomodating

This was my first trip to Iceland and I went solo, which can be intimidating, but they made me feel safe and comfortable. What truly set them over the top was the emails I received prior to my arrival allowing me to set up seamless transport to and from the airport which takes off one extra worry. They also give you a list of different tours and activities you can do in the area. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of the waterfront, even in the rain, and the spa is a must!
