Stayed here for one night in early December. It is an ideal location for a tourist. Right in the heart of Reykjavik. Walk to everything "touristy." They included a breakfast in a nice attached restaurant/bar. Very convenient and good quality. There are multiple buildings comprising this hotel. Ours was attached at the back, so you go outside and walk to a separate entrance nearby. You can access this building without going thru the lobby. The room was nice - we had a one bedroom and an attached living space, a sleeper sofa with a small kitchen. Thats worked well for us. All in all, a lot to like about this property. I'd give it 4.5 stars. The staff and lobby was not as polished as the Hotel Alda, down the street, but on nearly equal footing overall.

Hotel was in the perfect location, could walk to everything! Good location for catching tour buses too! Clean, friendly and lovely hotel. Very laid back approach and even loaned me a travel plug as I brought the wrong one!! Free of charge too! Breakfast was continental style and plenty of choice, perfect to set you up for the day. Will definitely stay here again!

The room was clean and good size. It feels like walking into IKEA, basic and austere. It’s interesting that the hot water comes directly from the volcanic hot springs. Therefore the hot water has a strong liver of sulphurs odour. The cold water comes from the mountain and we were able to wash off the odour. The hotel is situated in the middle of downtown across from a bar. So Friday and Saturday nights are a little bit noisy with bar goers and the thumping of the music.

The hôtel location was excellent right downtown with tons of stores including grocery stores near by. The staff super friendly and the check in and out process was simply and fast. The breakfast was simply but fantastic - fresh, tasty. Highly recommend

The staff were courteous and in particular the fellow on the day I left was very helpful. The breakfast bread was truly great as well. Very fresh and filling. MMy lone concern that led to that rating was the state of the room. I wasn’t 100% confident the room had been changed over. I found a few different long hairs in the bed and a towel in a curious placement in the bathroom. It gave me the creeps and I found a way to sleep without moving. Obviously I should’ve spoken up about it, but I didn’t. It actually took me five days to open my case because I was creeped out in case something got in there.

Wow! What an incredible location around all the shops and Rsinbiw street, the church and the lake where we walked a couple blocks to watch the northern lights reflect on the water! Hotel also has a restaurant along the street with amazing lamb soup, and your breakfast in there is included as well. Wonderful spread for breakfast. They also have parking right there, it’s tricky to find so contact the hotel!

I did not regret choosing Hotel Fron for my stay in Reykjavik. The location of the hotel is great, you can basically walk for the main landmarks. There are two bus stop #6 & #14 that are about 5 minutes walk where you can meet for tour and airport transfer.There are many restaurants , bar to go to. The hotel look pretty cute, nothing fancy but perfect. The staffs at this hotel are nice. I would highly recommended this hotel.

Nice hotel in great location

Room was nice and spacious, plenty of room to spread out. Bed was comy. Bathroom was tiny and shower was hard to spin around in. Water pressure wasnt great either (hard to rinse thicker hair thoroughly). Wonderful location and price tho. Overall happy and would stay again.

The hotel’s location was great (could use better signage- it’s across the street from the gelato shop). The staff was very helpful with any request. It’s less than a six minute walk to bus stop #6 where there is pick up and drop off for tours. The room was comfortable and clean. TV has English channels. If you use a wash cloth (I do), bring your own (I did). The breakfast was okay. There is selection of foods, but nothing hot.

Hotel Fron was a great pick for staying downtown, the room was comfortable and it is in the middle of many restaurants, bars and shops, the church is just a short walk away. It still was quiet in the room. The free breakfast is a real plus (especially considering prices in Iceland) and the staff was very helpful. If you have a rental car, there is a parking garage two blocks away with good prices (the staff can give you the address).

Great location

Very nice hotel for a 2 night stop right in a convenient part of Reykjavik. The breakfast was great and appreciated, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable! I would book here again. I wish the staff seemed a little happier and eager to be there. Still, the location, cleanliness and amenities deserve a 5 star 😊
