The Eagleâs Perch was a wonderful space for a relaxing weekend. We found the beds comfortable, the kitchen well-supplied, and the house welcoming; the backyard and balcony seating, hot tub, and river access were major perks. We did quite a bit of cooking; the kitchen came stocked with cookware but not much in the way of staples; we ended up buying and leaving salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, coffee, etc. We were there during a hot spell and appreciated the central air conditioning, though the third floor bedroom still got rather warm. Some of the windows donât have screens, so watch out for bugs, but it was lovely sleeping with windows open and being able to hear the sound of the river from inside. We found a lot of beautiful hikes within a 20-40 minute drive. Would happily stay again!
This house was perfect! Very comfortable, great aesthetics, and wonderful sleep with the quiet roar of the river. We had a fabulous time, the only thing I would improve is better notice of early check in eligibility. Other than that it was perfect and weâd happily go back.
Lavishing in a hot tub deep in the forest alongside a clear, rushing river, flourishing rhododendron, and other flowers was the epitome of "forest bathing." It was cool, cloudy, and rainy during our stay, and we didn't care! Hot-tubbing in the rain is an exquisite experience. The home was just rustic enough to be an authentic cabin in the forest. The upgraded kitchen and bathrooms made our stay even more enjoyable. With a gas fireplace, comfortable furnishings, and plenty of windows to enjoy the surroundings (along with an assortment of games), we didn't mind the rainy weather at all. GPS took us right to the door, and the roads were well-maintained. A VERY Sweet Forest Retreat!
This home may be small, but it is well laid out and is fine for 6 guests. We loved the sound of the river and enjoyed being so close to it in the hot tub. I was relieved that the beds (the 2 queens, I did not check the other) were comfortable after reading in previous reviews that they were not. I am guessing the host remedied that issue. The only small disappointment for us was that we learned the oven was not working and were offered a countertop convection instead. We accepted that but by the time it was delivered we had made other arrangements for that meal. We enjoyed the coziness of the main living area and appreciated all of the games that were provided.
We stayed over New Years and it was so quiet and peaceful! The location right on the river is amazing and the house is very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked as well!
This place was beyond my expectations! The location of this property, nestled amongst tall, moss covered cedar trees is truly a unique place to stay. Sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing, next to the rushing river is a memory my daughter and I will have forever. We couldnât have asked for more. We will definitely be back!
We adored the cozy cabin and beautiful scenery this home provided. Huge windows look out onto beautiful trees and hillsides. Absolutely nothing beats the view of the Sandy river while soaking in a hot tub. We loved our stay and will be thinking about staying here again in the future
What a beautiful home and property! The house is well designed with a nice open kitchen and living area - kitchen is well stocked - appreciate having things like salt/oil/coffee filters so we don't have to buy. Love the 3 stories so there's lots of private space to spread out for a family. The outdoor deck and river is amazing - spent every morning and evening enjoying the sights and sounds. This is a lovely property in a very quiet neighborhood close to tons of hiking trails and Mt. Hood. Will definitely come back!
Excellent accommodations. Loved the rustic charm, spaciousness and the working fireplace. Especially loved the hot tub overlooking the river and all the towels that were provided. Only negatives were the grill needs work as it doesnât heat up and the cleaning people arrived before check out - which felt very rushed. Despite that - would stay again for sure.
Very cool cabin! Our teens loved the two upstairs rooms as their getaways, and there was plenty of space for us all (including dog). Everything seemed quite clean and comfortable. We made good use of the hot tub - worth it even if it's raining. Maybe especially then! Only about half an hour to drive up to Timberline, so a good location if you want to be near the mountain.
My family had a great time here! We loved the cozy cabin feel, loved the character of the stairs and kids bunk room was awesome! Hotub right on the river, and fireplace made it extra cozy! The beds are pretty hard and should be updated, with some padding.. We also had some trouble with the showers, they wouldn't drain and wouldn't go passed a certain temp...Contacted vacasa and never got replies. Besides that it was pretty nice! Some more detailed cleaning could be done... But overall we would LOVE to come back for summer. Only a short drive to the skibowl too and lots of stores and everything you need close by!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The hot tub was great for relaxing after a day of skiing. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Although we did think the checkout time 10AM was a little early.
