The room was clean and spacious. Shower had a very good pressure. Had a slight issue with the door lock but front desk and security were able to resolve the issue quickly.

Clean, good location, convenient parking garage. Didn't like barn style bathroom door that didn't shut tight and shower sliding door that wouldn't stay shut. Fold out couch was NOT comfortable but worked out.

Convention-style Hotel, Fine for Short Stay

Large convention-style hotel, but fairly quiet in terms of hotel and outside noise (see fan noise comment following). Room was very clean but spartan. Only one comfortable chair. Loud A/C fan which we weren't able to turn off. A/C controls were nonobvious. Hotel sent up housekeeping staff quickly when requested who did turn off A/C fan. Hotel has automatic shade system but like A/C no explanation on use (ultimately I was able to use and it worked well). Front desk and other staff very friendly. Restaurant was very busy. Food seemed above average for hotel of this type. On arrival and for at least several hours, sign-in to Wi-Fi was not working (Note: Hotel provided 4000 "points" for Wi-Fi and A/C fan inconvenience.) Starbucks in lobby. In summary, hotel is clean, friendly and fine for a short stay in Richmond.

I wanna start by saying that my poor review is strictly based on after my stay. Me and my fiancé stayed a night here as we went to see a show at the local amphitheater, hotel was beautiful and staff were very helpful, however after the fact I come to find out that the hotel had charged me alittle over $700 on 2 separate charges. The first charge of $400 was do to an apparent "smoke fee", neither me or my fiancé smoke... so I do not know on what evidence that this came upon but completely incorrect. The second charge of $365 was taken out for a reason that is till unknown. I spoke with customer service and they did not give me any sort of reasoning behind charging me that amount and stated that I will have to wait 5-7 buisness to return MY money that they never explained why was taken out. Overall very displeased with The Marriott.

Birthday Concert

We were there for a birthday concert. Staff was so nice. They remembered why we were there when we were walking out and told us to enjoy the concert. Amenities were top notch. Breakfast was a great selection. Late night snacks hit the spot. Will definitely stay again.
