This area is beautiful but…

We chose to stay here because we wanted the extra room and it was more economical than staying in Interlaken. The area was nice and easy to get to on the bus. The host was very nice, met us at the bus station and showed us to our place. He was also quick to respond when we had a small issue with the shower. Upon arrival however, we noticed there were used towels left behind from the previous residents. The place was also dirty and we encountered several little roaches throughout our stay. The living room smelled bad and at first we thought it was coming from the sofas, which need to be replaced, but then we figured out the smell was coming from the wood sculpture they have in the corner. Regardless, the furniture in the living room needs to be updated. Also, the shower curtain was moldy and the towels and sheets smelled used. Walking up to the unit, the gardens in all the neighboring houses were gorgeous with lots of flowers blooming but everything was dead at Schwizi's. The place has potential but it needs a little extra tlc.
