Well appointed and tastefully decorated home with lots of space and a huge kitchen. Loved the large lawn for walking out dog and the view of the parkway was unmatched. It was like staying in a cozy historic home. Will be back.
we had a wonderful time! beautiful and clean. Host was there if needed but we had everything! Convenient for us to everyone and thing. It was great to have a Christmas tree we really loved having one made it feel very homie. Thank you so much. It's beautiful property!
Well maintained and clean property, great kitchen that is well stocked with items to cook with. Grill outside, with an extra tank that came in handy! Fire pit with wood close by, and great property around the house. Bedrooms were great, two showers nice and hot with the tankless water heater. Hot tub looked great, we didnât use it. Overall, a wonderful stay in Roanoke.
The property was so beautiful and the house was very clean with a lot of amenities. The host, Peter, was extremely responsive, accommodating, and kind. Would absolutely come back!
This was a great place for our family to stay while attending a wedding in town. It was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and very nicely updated while still keeping its historic charm. Itâs easy to recommend, and weâd definitely stay again!
Wonderful place to stay! We enjoyed the history of the house that has been beautifully modernized. The setting was like being in a park, yet very close to stores. Very well stocked with plenty of room to be with our family. We especially enjoyed the firepit and the hot tub on crisp fall evenings. Our host Peter was very responsive and he took time to answer our questions about the history of the farm and house. We highly recommend this beautiful home and will return if we can.
This house and property was so peaceful. The woods were fun to explore during the day, but at night- the fire pit, fireflies and hot tub were delightful! The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking PLUS the townâs restaurants and antique shopping made for the perfect vacation for all age groups. Very comfortable for 6-8 adults. Keep in mind, this is a 100 year old house meant for relaxing and enjoying the out-of-doors. No fancy extras, but comfy beds, very clean, and plenty of seating. Relax and enjoy!
We were very pleased with the house and grounds. It is secluded, yet convenient to the Walmart. We were visiting family in cave springs who didn't have 4 extra bedrooms. Everything was as listed on the vrbo site. Like new appliances, plenty of mixing bowls and Tupperware. Well stocked, though we always bring our stuff anyway, just in case. We were 6 adults and had plenty of space. We cooked on the outside grill, used the picnic tables (I brought tablecloths), and hot tub. Great fun. We had a small cookout for a total of 10 adults and one child - plenty of seating at the picnic tables and plenty of parking for our seven cars. No complaints from any in our group about the beds- we all slept well. We took a walk out back when we had a little free time - nice sunny hill. Definitely would come back again.
We stayed at the Private Farmhouse while attending our son's college graduation. The home, property, and property manager were exceptional! We even had to adjust our stay and communication was prompt and generous with options. The property was immaculate and so beautiful. It is close to everything, quiet, and the views are amazing. We loved waking up to the view of the Blue Ridge mountains right outside the bedroom window! We highly recommend this property! You will not be disappointed with your stay and the hospitality.
The property was beautiful and very well maintained. We had several communications with the owner and it was always answered promptly, cordially and helpful. We had a wonderful time
Our group came into town for a softball tournament and had a great time staying at the farmhouse! The house and hot tub were perfect, and the host had great communication throughout. Would highly recommend to all.
We've spent an extended weekend end of March at this charming farmhouse to celebrate a birthday and explore some mountain biking in the area. The house was super clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, only wished for some blinds or curtains in the upstairs bedrooms. Lovely farmhouse kitchen with a wonderful view out the bay window, perfect for birdwatching. I can only imagine how nice it will be when all the leaves on the trees are in. We did not use the hot tub but enjoyed the large outdoor space for grilling and sitting around a campfire. Highly recommended!
My husband and I along with our pups visited the Farmhouse for the 2nd time. The owner of home is attentive to his Renters and has equipped the home with everything you may need. The location is convenient to Route 220 and you will have many choices for eating and shopping. The farmhouse was a very nice stay along the BRP.
Great unique property. We stayed this past weekend to see my father for his 80th bday. The location was close to their house and really worked out well. Beautiful!
The Farm was just wonderful! Just as described and backed up to the woods. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to a power outage from Winter Storm Blair but we fell in love with the place. Peter was the absolute best host! We werenât home at the time the power went out and Peter called us directly. He went above and beyond helping us. Going so far as to bring us a blanket we had left behind. I canât say enough great things about the property and the host! Itâs a wonderful place and we plan on going back in better weather!
