Terrible front desk staff.

I booked a downstairs room because I have a handicap and it’s easier for me . but when I arrived. I was told that there was no room of the type I booked on the ground floor unless I want to pay $30 extra for each night. They should have given me the room at the price I booked. The handicap parking was a great distance from my room. At no time did anyone offer me any help with my bags or the luggage cart, the person that checked me in had no concern for my well-being whatsoever, definitely was not hospitable, and I don’t think belongs in the hospitality industry.I’ve stayed in many hotels and the attitude of the employees at the front desk has always been helpful and gracious, however, the front desk at the Doubletree by Hilton had no concern and offered no help for me to get my bags to my room, which was a good distance away, and my handicap parking space was also very far away from my room . there were many parking spaces close to the lobby and none of them are handicap access.. Im not used to being treated that way.by anyone in particular somebody in the hospitality industry., particularly from someone in the hospitality industry. I think your hotel also needs to be more handicap friendly

The only thing I wasn't pleased with is the $22 per day parking charge for self-park. I know this is Wine Country but it seems a bit excessive. I truly enjoyed my stay and the staff were ultra responsive--the warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in were a plus!

This hotel is seriously dated. They put more effort into the lobby than the rooms. We stayed there twice in a weeks time due to staying in SF for a night. The first time, we asked for a new shower curtain because it was dingy and desperately needed replacing. I let them know and they said they would change it right away. They never did. Then we checked out and came back and in the middle of the night the fire alarm started beeping due to the battery being low. We asked them to replace it and they said they would be on it right away. It didn’t happen and we got woken up in the middle of the night. This place just didn’t feel clean whatsoever, especially for the price. I probably wouldn’t stay there again. The grounds are nice and the outdoor area is well taken care of.

Property is very conveniently located. It is slightly dated and could do with an update to windows (tough to open) and facade. Balconies were not kept clean. However rooms are spacious, lots of nice amenities for guests - overall a good stay that be recommended.

BE AWARE

BE AWARE OF THE GOLF COURSE AROUND THIS PLACE!!! Upon arrival we realized that we were put in the back of the hotel and told to park our vehicle behind the dumpsters. I went out to my vehicle in the morning and placed my items in there me and my wife when to have breakfast and went back to her room to retrieve the rest of our belongings when we came out to our vehicle to put the rest of our belongings in our car we noticed that our back window had a hole in it and a golf ball sitting on the backseat! We noticed that there were two golf carts with people standing by them looking around but not teeing off from that area . As soon as we started looking at the vehicle they got on their golf carts and left they went down the Fairway and stopped and turned around and stared at us for about 30 to 40 seconds We took pictures of it and went and told the front desk person about it and he smiled and said it's not our responsibility! He also stated that there were signs everywhere that says that they are not responsible for golf balls or damage to vehicles we took pictures of the entire parking lot and video there are no signs at all! We were told that we had to do it online. The front desk person told us to go to the golf course and file a complaint that they are responsible. So we did and they said they are not responsible either. We are very disappointed in the way we were treated!

This property used to be known as one of the nicer places to stay in the area. However on our recent stay, we were very disappointed in the room and how out of date it seemed. There was hair all over the bathroom door, cigarette butts and broken glass on the little outdoor porch area and the beds were stiff and not very comfy. There were only 2 sets of towels in the room booked for 4 people and when we called housekeeping to request more towels nobody ever came so we had to go to the front desk and pick some up in order to get the kids showered and ready for bed. Very disappointed in this stay.

I am very disappointed with my stay here. The hotel itself was very beautiful but the front desk receptionist was not helpful at all. We got there two hours early and were asked to pay a $25 fee, which is normal but then after taking our money we were informed we would not have water the next day from 9am to 4pm. They could have told us this before so we could have planned our stay somewhere else.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Rooms and property were always clean. They can definitely do with some upgrading with the furniture. Charging $20 for nightly parking is a bit much , you should provide packing for your guest.
