From the moment we arrived Cristiana made our stay comfortable. Offered us a bottled water and coffee. She helped with calling us a taxi when needed, suggested restaurants and looked up laundry facilities for us. The room we stayed was quaint, cozy and felt like a comfortable home. It was small but had all we needed including a mini fridge and air conditioning. I liked that the window in our room opened so we hardly used the air conditioning. We had candy, coffee pods for the coffee maker in the office, and a nice typed personal note thanking us for staying at the Daplace. We also liked how close it was to the Colosseum and walkable to other tourest sites. I would recommend Daplace Areana House and I would most definitely stay there again. Thank you Cristina for all your help.

Great location.5 min walking distance to Colosseum.I was in Rome for 5 days and didn’t have two days cleaning service because of Roman Easter and Birthday of Rome holiday.I didn’t have any clean sheets and towels for two days .I have traveled on holidays and never cleaning service issue befor.But I got charged full price for the room . Other then that again great location

A Perfect Stay at Hotel Daplace– Rome’s Hidden Gem

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Hotel Daplace in Rome! From the moment I arrived, the service was top-notch – warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The room was spotless, stylish, and super comfortable, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The best part? The location! This property does not have any staff, it simply consists of several rooms that are in a building with residences and another "guest house". The instructions to get in were simple and worked well, the room was good for two people and the location is very convenient. The floor was quite dirty but, other than that, it was a nice place to stay at.

No hot water on checking in. Messaged the service desk to inform. Had no response. Connected in the hall just by chance and was able to voice concerns about no hot water AND towel heater not working. The hot water issue was fixed within the first couple hours, but even then the water temperature was lukewarm at best. The towel heater issue was ignored, not fixed, didn’t even get a response about it.

Good location but……

Poor communication via email/WhatsApp/Hotels.com messenger. This is disappointing as we didn’t see a single member of staff so relied on communication via email etc. Room has a pungent bleach smell that was overwhelming. Good location though!

The pillow sheets were old and they looked dirty, even if they were clean, they look awful. I found a hair inside the bed, and the mattress was terribly soft. The area is quiet, with good local restaurants and is close to the coliseum but the inside and the rooms were not worthy of the price. Also the check out is at 10 am! The earliest I’ve seen. And when I first arrived nobody answered the door, I had to called. The girl was nice but the hotel facilities weren’t great, I paid 130$ for 1 night, and I know there are better places for that price. So no good value for the money.

The property was very nice. The room was a little small for three people. The queen size bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the single size bed was not very comfortable at all. We would’ve liked extra blankets. The shower would kind of fill up with water, but overall we really liked the place and would stay again. The Colosseum is very close within walking distance and there are really good restaurants. overall, we would stay here again. The staff was very nice and very helpful.

Mara was there to greet me after a difficult time reaching Expedia for assistance to occupy my room. I won’t be using the travel site from now on because if this. Otherwise I felt the wonderful Italians were there to save me from my own anxiety, including a tour vendor who helped me establish Wi-Fi so I could reach my hosts. Thank you again Mara!!
