We stayed at this property in Rome primarily because of its convenient location near the Colosseum, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
The check-in process was extremely frustrating. We waited outside the front door for over an hour while trying to reach the host, and communication was slow and unreliable. We attempted to call twice, but no one answered. We also messaged both phone numbers provided in the check-in instructions, but the numbers appeared to be incorrect. Eventually, we were given five different access codes just to get inside many of which did not work making the entire process unnecessarily complicated and stressful.
Once inside, the situation didn’t improve. The unit is on the ground floor and feels very exposed almost like being on the street. One of the doors appeared to be blocked rather than properly secured, and you could clearly hear all the noise from outside, making it feel neither private nor comfortable. Additionally, the Wi-Fi password provided was incorrect, adding to the overall frustration.
Overall, the lack of organization, poor communication, and uncomfortable setup made this stay not worth the time or money. We ultimately decided to leave and book a hotel instead. I would not recommend staying here.
