Excellent, rustic hotel with beautiful deck overlooking a beautiful creek. Room very nice size and very comfortable. Workers were awesome and food there was great! We were wishing we had booked it for 2 nights of our trip.
This hotel was amazing! The cabins facing the river were lovely, clean and comfortable. We had both dinner and breakfast and they were delicious and affordable. We discovered the library and didnât have the chance to enjoy it, but were amazed by the number of books, card and board games for all to enjoy. The staff were friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed, would highly recommend and really hope to return!
Beautiful setting. I stayed with wife and 3 kids in a well-preserved older house (Callaghan). It was immaculately clean and thoughtfully appointed. I enjoyed reading the fly-fishing lore in the inn manual, and seeing all the photographs, although I don't fish myself. The river is a short trail off the back of the house. There is no cell data access at this location and no wi-fi at the lodge either which I liked. Steak at the restaurant was excellent but expensive as with most remote locations. River view off the back of the restaurant is unreal. I only stayed here because of good access to Crater Lake, but I enjoyed the home and river just as much as CL.
Nestled in an area of natural beauty, Steamboat Inn is very special. Our cabin was down the road a bit from the main reception/restaurant area, and was very comfortable, well equipped and quiet. The restaurant is set on the banks of the Umpqua River, providing beautiful views to accompany the lovely meals we had there. The wine list was extensive and especially highlighted local Oregon wines (and beer). Communication prior to our arrival was a little on the brusque side but any concerns were immediately dispelled upon arrival - all the staff we met were fun, helpful and very friendly. Donât forget to check out the library, a lovely peaceful area to sit and lounge by the river. Highly recommend staying here ⊠we have already recommended it to friends who are into fishing and those who wish to spend some time in nearby Crater Lake.
This is a unique little hotel tucked away from it all deep in the woods. It is perched just above the Umpqua river. The hotel has been nicely updated and
Steamboat Inn is a lovely property on the Umpqua River. We stayed in a cabin room right on the river. It was spacious and the balcony a restful place to read and watch the river. The balcony is shared with others in cabin rooms but set up so that each room has its own chairs and space. Note that there is no TV and even our phone network did not work. The food at the on-site restaurant was absolutely fantastic. We stayed 3 nights and ate there every evening. The steelhead was done to perfection as were the daily specials. Plus, you can have dinner (lunch or breakfast) on the outside patio with the river nearby. The Inn is perfectly situated to see the waterfalls along the Umpqua highway, and it's an easy drive to Crater Lake. It's not fancy but has enormous character. Best place we've stayed in a long time.
This place is great. Cabins are super cute, but it's the balcony and the view (and the staff) that make this place a must visit. Beware, the restaurant (with yummy food) closes at 8pm. Next time we'll come for more than one night!
Einfach Spitze!!!! Landschaft, das Inn, das Essen, die AtmosphÀre, wir waren nun schon das dritte mal dort und wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Einfach herrlich um zu entspannen und relaxen. TOP 10++
