The staff was not so welcoming. I had also called previous to confirm some information and Im 120% sure it was the same location because i got the number from apple maps and compared addresses once i booked through here for the same reason. To find out total Opposite of what i was just told 30 min prior calling. Ice machine was not working, the doors locked and latch worked but were weirdly sticking out which was a major safety concern still. No microwave mini fridge , my fault for not asking or checkingNot staying here again.
So adjoining rooms and the room door did not lock there was a couple on the other side of the door and when my friend opened the door that's when I knew there was no lock. Then roaches coming from underneath the bed I sprayed and also did other insecticide procedures. Not to mention yelling and screaming till 2:30 in the morning. Left at 2:30 in the morning and told the front desk about the roaches. Which she gasped like she saw a car accident. Motel 6 downtown no!
This is a budget hotel, and functions as such. Rooms are clean, but it's right by the freeway so noisy. When we arrived late in the evening there was a "shift change" and the front desk person was not arround to check us in. Security told us it would be about ten minutes, so we waited outside for the employee to arrive. She was very friendly when she did show up.
The room was missing a shower curtain, oversink light and the tv was very subpar. Had to go .to office several times for help with the tv.Got a shower curtain right away. Also the floor was not very clean. I have not received my $50.00 deposit refund yet either.
Motel was close to our concert venue but we did not feel safe walking there. That said, Uber ride was very inexpensive to and from Harlows. No YouTube option on the TV in our room but not a big deal since the room was really cheap. The staff, especially Angelica at the front desk, was very kind and helpful.
I was scared the whole night and when I left to get foo my daughter called me crying saying she saw a roach in the restroom. The next morning I gave my mother a shower and didn't realize the shower chair wasn't ever until she started to slide to the floor. My mother had a stroke a few years ago and couldn't hold stop herself from slipping. I had to call a friend to come help me get her out the shower. I have pictures and videos and currently looking for a lawyer due to this horrible experience. Not to mention they still haven't gave my deposit back
