The lake house was an incredible “home away from home” for our family! We were in the area for a nearby wedding and this venue provided the perfect home for our stay.With five spacious bedrooms, everyone had their own private space…and the beds were so comfortable! The kitchen had every amenity one might need which made for easy meal prep. The large family room with plenty of comfy seating provided the perfect spot to watch college football games during those moments when we took a break from the outdoors. The lakefront fun included several kayaks and even a peddle boat for tooling around the calm waters. And the large fire pit kept us nice and warm as the fall evenings cooled down. I think my favorite aspect was the peacefulness of sitting on the deck looking at the nighttime stars and listening to the sounds of nature around us. Above all, Sandra was such a gracious host! From the welcoming bottle of chilled Prosecco to the ease of checking in and out, Sandra was just a phone call away for anything we might have needed. It was such a wonderful long weekend and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy this Lakefront home again!

Awesome for everyone! We stayed last year, but forgot how perfect it was! It is us, our 3 children 2 spouses and 5 grandchildren. Plenty of space for everyone. So many cousin memories made!!Sandra has thought of everything! Filtered water picture, detergent, plenty of beach towels! Our goal was to stay at a different lake and house every year, stayed at this house last year and fell in love ! Perfect house for us!!

This property is WONDERFUL! Sandra was very responsive to messages I sent about or plans. When we arrived, we were highly impressed. The house is very spacious and accommodating. The house provided lots of amenities that were very nice. Nice kitchen appliances and accessories for a family meal. The bedrooms were nice amd the beds comfy. We had a blast exploring the two nearby lakes for the weekend. We would definitely advise if you are in the area to take a looknat this property. We will definitely be back!

Great family get away.

The property is beautiful. The home is two story wirh large rooms. We had 10 people and had plenty of sitting room. They house was very well stocked with kitchen equipment, grill equipment, bathroom supplies and even beach towels. The home had games. Our grand children and children enjoyed the kayaks, paddle board and peddle boat.

Love this Lake House

Whitewater Lake is awesome

This lake house is perfect for large families. We had a view of the lake from nearly every room in the house. There were tons of extra towels and blankets. The kitchen had all the cookware and dishes we needed. Check-in was a breeze and checkout was simple. We truly felt at home here and cannot wait to return.

Family Lake Trip

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this lake house. Sandra, the host, was awesome. She was easy to reach and quick to respond to my questions. The house was perfect for our group of 15. We were very impressed with all the things that were provided by the host. There were many indoor and outdoor activities available. We are hoping on being able to book with her again as soon as we can all get together again. I highly recommend this property.

Absolutely perfect for our family!!

We were there with our 3 children, two of their spouses. And five grand children from the ages between 4 and 14 and it has absolutely amazing. We fished, kayaked and splashed and played. Had a 5 year old that was afraid to jump in the water, but was jumping like a pro by the time we left! Plenty of space in Living room for pizza and movie night! Close to larger lakes to take out a pontoon! Could not have asked for a better trip! Will be getting in touch about next year! thanks for the memories!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Whitewater Lake was the most peaceful and beautiful lake. Our kids had a blast on kayaks and paddle boards. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We made homemade ice cream and played ladder golf. Sandra was awesome with all information needed. We had booked this house last year and had to cancel because my husband had Leukemia which led to a stem cell transplant. We were very happy to be able to make this trip with our parents and kids this summer! Thank you Matter Family for sharing your house with us!

Spring break vacation

This is our 3rd stay at this house. My granddaughter who is 5 when asked where she would like to go, immediately yelled "the lake house"! I messaged the host Sandra and their lake house was available. The house has been spotless each visit. Sandra the host provides everything one could need for the lake. Bath needs, beach towels, cooking supplies, grill, kayaks, paddle boat, outdoor games and indoor games. We had a blast just sitting around table with family playing phase 10. I know if you like the lake you will love this place!!

The Awesome Fun Vacation Getaway!

My family and I will be returning for another stay at this fabulous home. This home was an exciting place to stay with family, all enjoyed. The lake was a big hit with the kids, the home was so accommodating, it was well stocked with everything that you would need in your home. The kitchen was roomy, stocked with all appliances, lots of dish clothes and towels. Plenty of cooking aids to prepare greats meals, paper goods, trash bags, cleaning products, air freshers, etc. The bed rooms, bathrooms, were very spacious, and the sleep beddings was just outstanding! My family experienced the loss of a dear family member a year ago, and we so much needed such a getaway stay, as this home had to offer for processing life without our love one. Vacationing at this fun home helped that to happen, it is very clean and well taken care of, the patio is amazing and inviting, you can sit, enjoy for hours, just overlooking the lake. Ms. Matters, you were a wonderful host, thank you for answering all questions in a timely manner. We are grateful for the stay at this beautiful home. Best Regards Wanda

10th annual family/friends trip to mountains

This was our 10th year on this annual trip to mountains. Frist time we stayed on lake versus river, and we enjoyed it immensely. Uplands SC is great location for us to get to hikes and waterfalls and other area attractions. Sandra the hostess was helpful and all items about the house proved to be correct.

My family absolutely loved our stay! The property was very clean, amazingly well stocked and the lake front location on such a quiet lake was perfect!! My family along with grandparents, aunts, uncles and teens loved the property. It was close enough to Clemson that we could go back and forth for graduation festivities, but far enough away that it felt like a country vacation. We will definitely be coming back!

Great vacation !

We had an excellent experience here ! The house was well supplied with essentials such as cooking items, toiletries, paper towels, towels. Kayaks and a pedal boat were available for use. The children were never bored because there was so much to do. And the owner, Sandra, was in touch throughout, to answer questions or just make sure we didn’t need anything . It was a great vacation!
