I only wanted a budget room for 2 night stay and although this was budget it was very basic. Towels were provided but nothing more. I was hoping for at least a kettle to make a coffee in the room. I didn't order breakfast as it was continental and not to my taste but I least expected as a paying guest to be able to get a complimentary coffee but i had to pay for that! Although not much around, there was a Starbucks, McDonalds and a pub opposite and it is located directly across from the Salford Quays tram station around 20 mins or so into Manchester central and station. It did the job for a couple of nights so happy with that.
Great location; close enough to downtown centre that it’s cheap/quick to access but far enough away to be peaceful of an evening. Close to old trafford too.
A very basic room with minimal facilities e.g. a plastic stool was the only chair. There wasn’t even a cup or glass in which to put water for swallowing my medications. Not much to ask is it?
If you’re looking for an inexpensive en-suite room and helpful staff, this is the place for you.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
Cheap room cheap service
You get what you pay for i guess. Lady at front desk was very rude. The room is super small. Cant use the bathroom without hitting the door. Sleeps 3. And a small tv. Coffee and breakfast you have to pay for.
There was a stain mark on the mattress for the single bed, and was rubbish such as a sweet packet within the bed frame which was revealed due to movement in the bed. Plus the window was rather difficult to close upon occasions where it had been open for a period of time, with regards to the window being open the tram noises were also particularly noticeable and made sleeping difficult during the later tram times. Despite all this the room was liveable for the one night duration spent, and staff service was excellent.
The hotel is fine.
What I don’t like is being charged £10 for a kettle, I don’t drink tea or coffee, this was just the kettle. I was dropped off by a disables friend, no spots for him so there just under an hour once I was booked in and given a parking ticket even though the receptionist knew!
Paid for parking and still got a ticket in the mail. Cleaning ladies were extremely rude. Paid for late check out and they still banged the door down at reg checkout. Then basically called me a liar through the door when I told them to go and check for themselves that I’d already paid after demanding I leave. Just really really disrespectful there after. Thankfully I kept my parking receipt so combating the stupid parking ticket shouldn’t be a problem. The bed was ULTRA uncomfortable. Overall a really really poor place to stay. The Travelodge down the road is def where I will be staying from now on whenever I go to a Man U game.
