8/10 Good

We had a nice stay overall, and the hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with. The home is exactly as pictured and described, and the location was excellent, which was the main reason we chose it.There were a few small things to be aware of. The downstairs fireplace and ice maker weren’t working, and a few kitchen items like the coffee pot, microwave, and tea kettle could have been cleaner. None of this was a big issue for us, and we didn’t reach out during the stay—we just worked around it.This place feels more like staying at a friend’s or relative’s home rather than a property that’s fully set up as a short-term rental. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, just something to know going in. It feels lived-in, which has its pros and cons.We knew this wasn’t a high-end or luxury place, and that was totally fine with us. We chose it for the location, and that definitely didn’t disappoint. We’ve stayed in Cottonwood Heights and Sandy many times, and while there are newer and more polished options in the area, the convenience to the mountains was worth it for us.Overall, we’re glad we stayed here and wouldn’t have changed our decision. If being close to the mountains is your priority and you’re comfortable with a more lived-in feel, this can be a good fit.
