Wow! Just wow!

Trust me, you walk in the front door of this place and it takes about 30 minutes to pick your jaw up off the floor due to your amazement in the view from this property at the edge of the infinity pool! So perfect! The house has everything you could ever need and will definitely not disappoint! Louis, the property manager, was awesome to deal with and just a great person all around. Made sure our family and friends were informed on everything in and around Samara, and was just a great resource for information when needed! Thanks Louis! Lots of moneys in this area and the macaws were so cool to watch as well! Just an all around amazing property for first time Costa Rica visitors!! You’ll never forget it!

Amazing! Book this spot!

The house and location is amazing. It’s spacious and has the best view! We loved the days in the pool overlooking the ocean. The property manager Louis is awesome. Super responsive and helpful. He gave us restaurant and excursion recommendations! We even ran into him at one of the restaurants and he sent our kids ice cream! What a host!! The secure gate was nice - we felt safe! We would book this place again in a heartbeat!

Family spring break

We stayed at Casa Macaw the last week in March for spring break for my 11 and 15-year-old daughters. Everything about the trip was amazing. The house has fantastic views and a great blend of indoor and outdoor living. It’s convenient to everything in Samara with access to beaches and restaurants, and it’s a short drive to all sorts of excursions. A perfectly relaxing vacation from beginning to end. Louis was helpful and responsive and had groceries ready for us on arrival. Highly recommend.

Even Better Than Expected

Often, you see photos on VRBO that look better than the real property. In this case, the property lived up to -- and exceeded -- the description. To begin with, the view of the ocean and surrounding countryside is stunning, and when you open the folding back doors, you connect the inside of the house to all that beauty. Every day from around the property we could see monkeys, iguanas, and of course, Macaws. The pool was luxurious. The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils. Louis met us onsite for check-in and was responsive to our every need, both before and during our stay. I can't say enough good things about Casa Macaw.

Relaxing and beautiful stay in Samara

We stayed at Casa Macaw with our family of 5 a few weeks ago. (Our kids are between 18 and 26.) I don't always take the time to write a review but wanted to give a shout out to one of the most beautiful settings I've ever seen. We left after our 3 nights so relaxed! We had one thrilling night where we saw the Macaws come home to their hollowed out tree stump-- but day to day, the flowers, birds, butterflies and the panoramic view from the infinity pool is simply amazing! (Pictures can't do it justice.) The house was clean, well equipped and worked great for our family. Check in and check out was a breeze and Louise worked with our schedule, which was much appreciated. Louis went above and beyond to get to know us and offered a TON of recommendations that were perfect for us. (We loved Las Olas Beach Bar for both take out and a visit and would never have found this on our own.) He brought us some extra fun gear for our older kids and arranged for groceries and a breakfast cook. (Which greatly added to the relaxation and was delicious!) This was our first trip to Costa Rica, but we'll be back after getting a taste of Casa Macaw and Samara. Tip for other 1st timers to Costa Rica: we were glad we got a car. You can walk and we saw a lot of people doing it, but we liked having a car and the extra independence it gave us. (We got a 4 x 4 through Alamo and had a great experience.)

Title says it all... Stop searching for your vacation home in Samara. This is it! Casa Macaw is spot on perfect for a large group or family. Location is fantastic, great views and the place has everything you would need to disconnect and have a blast in Samara. House has everything you would need, just pack your bags and head down to Samara. The spaces are wide and spacious, high ceilings and great water views from almost everywhere in the house. But really... Stop scrolling and book this home! You will regret if you miss the chance to stay in one of the best properties in Samara

Perfect SĂĄmara Vacation

As first time Costa Rica travelers, we were truly spoiled with our stay at Casa Macaw! I’m so glad we booked this slice of heaven for our family. When we arrived in Sámara, Louis met us at the home to give us a quick tour, ensuring we had everything we needed. He offered suggestions and provided great tips to make our stay more comfortable. The home and ocean views were breath taking, making it easy to escape our day to day, yet well appointed with every convenience we could need. Fresh fruit on the table and a ninja blender was the perfect combo for pool side pinã colada’s. Each bedroom has air conditioning, comfortable beds and plenty of pillows making it easy to get a good night sleep. The en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom were perfect for our family, especially with two teenage daughters! Our favorite part of the home was definitely the pool! Spacious enough to toss the football around and the ocean view captured our attention for hours. It was the perfect retreat after a day of adventure. Although the Macaws didn’t make an appearance, we did get to see Howler Monkeys right out front! Should we come back to Sámara, we would definitely book Casa Macaw again.

Best view and infinity pool in Costa Rica!

This is a new listing and there were no reviews so my wife and I weren’t sure what to expect. We are so happy that we took a chance on this stunningly beautiful property. Everything was perfect from the moment we booked. Louis, the property manager, was waiting for us at the gate when we arrived and gave us a thorough orientation, provided tons of information about restaurants, beaches and activities, and even cooked us a delicious dinner because he is also a trained chef! The house was immaculate, newly decorated, and we were blown away by the breathtaking view of the ocean. The infinity pool is huge and great for doing lengths or enjoying the spa jets. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets (house is perfectly positioned for this) but far and away our favourite experience was watching the scarlet macaws that have a nest close to the pool. They are beautiful, chatty, funny birds and we had to pinch ourselves to believe we were really seeing them so up close. We spent one morning at beautiful Carillo beach and did an outing to the Wild Macaw Reserve at Punta Islita (highly recommended). We only stayed 3 nights in the middle of a 2-week trip but we will definitely be back for a longer stay!!!
