this hotel it's close enough to the Riverwalk without the extra charges. I didn't drive so I didn't have to pay parking, but considering how expensive the parking in this area is, this hotel has a reasonable charge. This property is well kept, the rooms are comfortable however the food was not outstanding

Location was great! We walked to the Alamo and enjoyed river center mall too. We walked to The Tower of the Americas for dinner, but that was about a mile one way. The property is older and it shows in the bathroom. Aside from that it's a typical Hampton Inn

When we checked in, there was only one staff member. We waited a long while, due to other people that had checked in earlier were having problems with their rooms or payments. People were mad because the manager was nowhere to talk to. They were told they had to wait for help until the manager returned. I felt bad for the girl behind the desk. We got checked in without any problems. The problem was the AC unit in our room. It was so noisy that we couldn't get any sleep. It never stopped turning off and on, even if we turned up the temperature, so it wouldn't. We were tired and didn't want to deal with changing rooms. The bed was so hard and the pillows were so mashed and bumpy, very uncomfortable. Will not stay here again.
