The hotel was near the water and quiet. There was a nice restaurant in the hotel that had an excellent breakfast and a late-night bar. The Valet service was $60 per day! My only request during the two days was extra towels since they wanted us to reuse the towels and there was no towel bar for drying. The text message said they will be right up; however they never arrived.

Penny Wise and Pound Foolish

Very clean. Quiet. Not fancy. Slow internet. The valet wasn't with the car. We drove off, not realizing they hadn't left the fob in the car (keyless). Called to see if fob could be mailed or if we should turn around and come back. Clerk (Chantal) said she would check with the manager, Eva. I called back 2 hours later. Chantal said she forgot and the manager was out to lunch. She said we would have to pay postage but didn't know how much. It would have been a nice courtesy for the hotel to pay for postage. Instead, they insisted on charging $23 postage (eventually, Eva texted) from San Diego to Los Angeles. We are HHonors members. After staying at the hotel, paying for wine and $60 for parking, it would have been a nice gesture not to charge us an exorbitant postal rate. Also, if the clerk had gotten back to us in a timely fashion, we might have driven back to retrieve the key. Penny wise and pound foolish. Now, we have a very negative opinion of the Hilton brand. You have saved yourself $23 but lost good will and possibly future business!

The room and views were great. However, the hotel was full, so the staff was not very accommodating when breakfast took longer than expected, and we needed an extra 15 minutes to remove our luggage. We are Hilton Honors members.

Just okay.

Food was overpriced and only marginal. Hot tub (jets) were out of order. The hot tub was the sole reason for booking the hotel. Property was worn. It seems to be understaffed.

I LOVED my stay here! The room was clean, the hotel was beautiful with a view of the Bay across the street, and the staff was lovely and welcoming! When the agents found out I had been accepted to law school there, they made me a sign! They were amazing! Shoutout to Kenzi for having my room ready early and the two guys at night who gave me late night food options! (Can’t remember their names) I did have a red stain on my comforter when I got to my room but that was remedied immediately by giving me a new one and an extra blanket. Please stay here if you’re visiting the Downtown San Diego area! 10/10!
