This hotel is great! VERY clean. It’s a little older but it’s beautifully kept. I like that it’s pet friendly. Their continental breakfast is pretty good, many options to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Great curve appeal, property landscape with beautiful staff was friendly and ready to assist. The only thing I did not like is the smell of the room the minute you open the door the it sleeps musky and (not fresh) but the room was very clean.

The place is in a questionable area, it’s more of a motel and it’s very old and smelly. As a woman traveling alone I felt unsafe walking to dine. The door to the reception was locked at 9pm.

I would stay here again.

The front desk staff was great. We got there super early and they worked to accommodate us in a very reasonable fashion. The room was clean, eco friendly and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay there again.

Lamplighter for life!

I always stay at the Lamplighter when visiting my son at SDSU. It is immaculate, so well-maintained, and very affordable. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfast is simple but plenty (self-serve) The pool area is clean and comfortable, with extra towels and sun loungers, as well as chairs and a couple of tables under umbrellas. There’s a good Japanese restaurant right next door

I’d stay again

Pros: Our stay was great. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast each morning we were there. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Cleanliness and housekeeping services were impeccable. A++ Cons: the soundproofing between the first and second floor was not the greatest. The guests staying above us were heavy steppers. With that being said, I still give this an A+ place to stay.

The hotel was much more than I was expecting. Parking right outside our door which is great. From the outside parking lot to the inside of the room everything was so clean. Check in was easy and quick since it was pretty late when we got there. Didn't try the breakfast. The a/c unit was the quietest I have ever experienced! I never heard it turn on/off. We stayed first part of May so it was quiet. Thank you for a great experience!
