Hotel was fine, beds were good, room was clean. Property is outdated quite a bit. I would like to see a room safe added for security. Front desk staff was not very friendly. I stayed 2 nights, May 28th and May 29th. Each night, around 11pm, an engine noise would run intermittantly. It was like a construction equipment noise. It would run for about 2 minutes and then stop for a couple of minutes before starting back up. It was very annoying.

This place looks nothing like the pictures it’s literally the projects, homeless people walking around, drug addicts parked in the parking lot smoking in their car and I doubt they pay for parking and they wanted to charge me $20 a day but people are getting high in their parking lot for free. The front desk was rude he whispers while he’s talking no hospitality whatsoever. We walked to our room and it smelled like pee very strongly at the door as soon as we opened the door an awful smell was in there . Cabinets were broken there was either pee or blood on the bathroom floor . The shower floor was so disgusting . The fridge door was broken . We walked to the ice machine and of course that was broken there was flys swarming it we walked back to the room and I called front desk about 7 times from the hotel phone that was very dusty by the way and no one answered so I walked back to the front office and explained how disgusting it was the room looked like it hasn’t been clean and the white man said we can leave if we want and I was just going to ask for a an actual clean room and all the things I told him he was acting like brand new news to him and he was very rude: it’s beyond me that people work in hospitality and have no personality or regards for others. If you have kids do not stay here unless u know ur going to watch them 24/7 don’t let them go to the car by themselves or to the pool no where !! The amount of odd people that just wander there is so scary .

Our room was very dirty. The area itself is very ugly and everything is dirty! Our restroom seemed like it wasn’t properly cleaned. We went out for the night and came back to our AC leaking and it left a huge puddle. We called front desk at least 6 times and no one answered. We finally went to the lobby and the receptionist didn’t even offer us a different room or apologize, we ended up just putting towels! Overall I would never stay here again for a few bucks more you can find somewhere nicer, cleaner and friendlier!

The hotel lobby interior and rooms are recently renovated. The excellence of service, decor, quality of beds and sheets is a surprise, since the outside of the buildings look old and somewhat depressing. The color of the buildings does not help. However, once inside, the rooms are bigger than usual, with everything you need - fridge, microwave, desk, 2 chairs, drawers and open closet space. The drawback for some people: the sink is in the room, the toilet and bath-tub shower are in a tiny room which has a normal door. Everything worked well - air-conditioner, shower, plenty of hot water. All was properly clean, no smell of smoke. Not in the best area of San Diego, but the price for value is very good for those on a budget. FYI no breakfast available, but Starbucks and other food options including grocery stores are nearby.

They charged us $20 per night to park in their parking lot which is literally outrageous. It was clean enough just older and slapped-together "upgrades" that are mediocre. The lighting in the bathroom sink area is dim.

I LOVED THE FACT THAT I WAS ONLY 20-30 MINUTES AWAY FROM AREAS OF ACTIVITIES. IT WAS CLEAN SPACIOUS AND I WAS ABLE TO MAKE COFFEE FOR BREAKFAST. LOVED THE LOBBY STAFF SHE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE.

Staff was incredibly rude through out the check in process. Our rooms fire alarm then proceeded to beep throughout the night and moved us to an entirely different room at 11pm instead of replacing the battery.
