Overpriced, Dirty, & Dingy
The biggest gripe with this place is it shouldn’t be allowed on VRBO at all, since you don’t have the entire property to yourself. Laundry is shared with another tenet occupying the property. This fact was not disclosed until the day before we checked in and left us feeling uncomfortable upon arrival.
In the instructions from the host, we were supposed to message them so that they can pick up their Amazon packages, which we didn’t do because it made us feel at risk for our own safety (why not just deliver it to your own house??)
The patio, where the tenet accesses the laundry, was in no condition to be hung out in. The chairs and ground were covered in detritus. The pictures in the listing are incredibly misleading, but the cleanliness issues didn’t stop there…The towels smelled like hadn’t been washed, there were cockroaches in both showers, no faucet cap on the sink in the standalone bathroom, so water would splash out all over the fooor.
There was also a zoning infraction notice left on the property door, making us feel even more unwelcome, as maybe it’s not even zoned for rental use?
The property being RIGHT off of a main road where people speed around the bend like crazy. We not only witnessed a crash happen within our week long stay, but had trouble falling asleep in the front bedroom because the curtains hardly blocked headlights at night. In the same bedroom, there are wide gaps in the floor (one of us stubbed our toe pretty bad). Overall not a great stay….
