It was one of the worst places I’ve stayed at. They wouldn’t accommodate moving me rooms, I heard every single noise, from garbage trucks, motorcycles and street sweepers. Then there was homeless people all around. I heard every curse word possible. They only wanted to move the rooms above mine which they said was the same as my room. I would still hear everything. The room was nice not just the day staff and the location. We decided to check out a day early and lost the money for the second night. Sadly I will never use them again.

I am giving this hotel a 1‑star rating solely due to its surrounding environment. For anyone new to San Francisco and looking to stay in the downtown area, I strongly recommend choosing a location far from this property. It is situated on Eddy Street, which is widely regarded as one of the roughest parts of downtown. The moment you step outside, the area feels unsafe. The streets are heavily littered, including animal and human waste (an unpleasant and overwhelming sight and smell). You are immediately surrounded by a large homeless population, and the noise level remains high throughout both day and night, making restful sleep extremely difficult. I heard three gunshots, which added more to my anxiety. The silver lining is the hotel staff. They were consistently warm, supportive, and went out of their way to assist and guide guests. Their professionalism was the best part of my stay, and they deserve recognition for working under such challenging conditions.

While the staff was kind, and the room was spacious, comfy, and clean, we clearly booked a room with a king bed and pullout couch, but our room didn’t have any sort of couch at all. We expected to have another bed option. We were in a hurry to get to our event, so we didn’t have time to ask them to resolve it. We also chose this hotel for the breakfast option, which on hotels.com says runs between 6am-9am. We had to leave by 6:30am, and the breakfast didn’t actually start until 7, so we had to find breakfast elsewhere, which was a bummer.

Everything is great. If you’re a light sleeper, don’t stay here, it can be too loud at night. But other than that, we had no problem with our stay. It comes with complementary breakfast and also parking, which is great!!
