Staff is terrific. Helpful and professional, well trained. Coffee delivered to the room in the morning at a time you specify. Bed was a comfortable refuge. The Mark is great. AND not as busy with tourists crowding the lobby like at the Fairmount across the street. Only disappointment was the hotel bar “Top of the Mark” was closed for special events every night. It was part of the reason to stay there. Sad. It’s a beautiful spot! Love the location.

The staff here are the best! Every employee we've interacted with, from the managers to the housekeepers, have been so friendly and bright. The culture of hospitality here sets this place apart. Also, loved the Top of the Mark! If you get Joe as a waiter youre in great hands!

Absolutely loved staying here, would recommend and would definitely stay again. Very cosy room with super comfortable bed, daily housekeeping and great staff. Overall fairly quiet, didn’t hear any other guests but the windows are a little on the thin side so I’d recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper and ask for a room away from elevators. Enjoyed having a robe which can be requested from house keeping. Free coffee available in reception on a morning and there’s also a water bottle refill station. Area is lovely, felt very safe, cable car passes right out the front. One thing to note is the hotel is at the top of the hill so it’s steep few blocks if you’re coming up from Union Square!

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving stay! We could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our room as well as a fantastic view of Grace Cathedral. Our bed was so comfortable! Overall a fantastic place to stay when visiting San Francisco (and I’m a native!).

The staff at reception was okay. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9 am on a weekend! That was very rude. The room was clean but the bed was so uncomfortable. It dipped in the middle and made it very hard to relax. Coffee in the lobby ran out at 9:30 am and it took 30 minutes to get a new refill. The elevators were very slow and very full. Even if it stopped on our floor, it took almost a half hour to get in because it was always full. We opted to carry our luggage up the stairs (two flights) to check in because of the amount of time it was taking. I’ve stayed here in the past and this is the most chaotic. Maybe it’s because of the holidays. We were disappointed that the Too of the Mark no longer served Snday brunch.
