This is a good property, close to everything. Couple of issueS with cleaning though. There was a coffee cup with lipstick and there were bugs and cobwebs around the ceiling. Also, the vent in hallway needs some cleaning.
Our first VRBo experience. The location worked well but that is the only positive thing about this place. As soon as the door was opened you were hit with a stench of mold, mildew and dirt. This smell never did dissipate during our weeklong stay. The kitchen counters were sticky and full of crumbs. Dishes in the cupboards were put away dirty. The stocked kitchen that was advertised was very skimpy and of poor quality. All the door frames had dirty handprints and were greasy. The whole place was dirty and dusty with long hair all over the place. Every surface had a coating of dirt. There were even dirty tissues left behind the bathroom door. The shower and tub had mold in the crevices and the worst part was the pile of termite dust in the corners of the bathrooms.
The management team said there trusted team would come and clean but the last thing I wanted were strangers in the place while we were there. Besides it was that trusted team that left the place filthy.
Checking in was tedious and on going. This place charged a non refundable damage fee before checking in. Getting a clear answer was like pulling teeth. They offered to make it up to us by giving us a coffee card. Had we had time to make other arrangements in a close location we would have.
Nice home near shopping and plenty restaurants. There were a few problems that need to be addressed by the property management. If they were to fix those problems, I'd stay again.
It was definitely not a pleasant stay as we were hoping for, a very disappointing stay. To start, the required onboarding process was a surprise. It was a very time-consuming, tedious and frustrating process! I was not aware nor informed in advance of such lengthy and ridiculous process. I never have to go through such process in all my previous stays at Vrbo properties in the past. It was a total unnecessary process to make your guests to go through. Then we got hit with a $45.00 non-refundable damage waiver fee which was not part of Vrbo contract. I was totally shocked when told this waiver fee was required as part of the onboarding process! I plan to contact Vrbo direcly to get this amount refunded to me.
The house smells badly, smelling like it's been vacant for a long time. It was dirty from the floor to the countertops and kitchen island. In was not even close to an immaculate condition as described on Vrbo! There were multiple lights burned out throughout the house, or missing or not working. Front door safety chain was broken. Shower water temperature was reversed, hot instead of cold. There were tree sap all over the front all over the sidewalk and walkway that if you step on it, it sticks to your shoes and really hard to get rid of. Our son unknowingly stepped on it and just could not get it off his shoes. This was a major mess! Also poorly equipped. We stayed for 5 nights and were only provided with one bath towel per person!
The place itself was fine. Small, probably not rented too frequently as there was fresh paint on everything and some things missing when we got there. That wasnât too bad. The bad parts was the management interactions were terrible. Before letting us stay they added charges that were not listed. And required lots of different information and sign offs on things I have never had to provide for a VRBO or any hospitality. I did that thinking it would be just the one thing and it was too close to the departure date to find another place. We were able to stay there with the only issues being that some toiletries were not restocked.
The strangest thing happened after though when we were already checked out. They accused us of stealing dishes, stealing a coffee table, and damaging items when we did no such thing. They seemingly let go of it after I went to VRBO directly but they made up all this stuff that we did for seemingly no reason when we did not do any such things. The management was very disjointed and would text me on multiple numbers accusing my group of various things but it was all clearly them. I would recommend the place if it had better management but it was an absolute pain to deal with them.
