This hotel over seated our expectations. With reviews being so mixed, we were a little bit skeptical but we decided to give it a shot and we were so pleasantly surprised! Most hotels on the property have a beautiful view of the ocean. There’s a rooftop terrace that you can watch the sunset and it’s very romantic and adult only spa was perfect! Yoga mats you can take to the beach a walk to the beach, breakfast included, three bikes to rent, there was just so many amenities. It also makes for a great family retreat if you’re traveling with a family. I found some great restaurants in the area like the Milwaukee place called oasis and Mediterranean place called the Green Olive. There are parks close by. It was all lovely!

The manager Dawn was very helpful and accommodating. We had to check out early due to the Tier 1 water alert for Pismo beach and some surrounding areas. Hotel was nice, fire pits, games, hot tea and coffee offered and walking distance to restaurants. So bummed we could only stay for a night.

We had a nice large balcony with two chairs and a view of the beach. However, the windows in the room could only be opened to let in light, not air, which was inconvenient. The staff wasn’t the most friendly. They weren’t necessarily rude just not particularly inviting. The complimentary breakfast was a standard affair but nice for the most part. They also gave away free cookies but we missed them so we can’t comment on their quality. Overall, we recommend staying here, just keep your expectations modest and you’ll have an amazing visit.
