Although the room itself was ok, we felt a bit mislead about certain things. We arrived late after a long drive on a very bumpy road. Check in was short and no real instructions about the resort were given. The website says daily housekeeping but that didnt happened. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned half way through our stay. Then was shocked to be charged $20 US for the service, the cost wasnt the issue but all they did was take out the garbage and recycling and swapped out towels, they never restocked toliet paper, dish towels etc. The room was not clean when we arrived as we found peanuts all over the carpet when we folded up the hid-a-bed in the living room. Had we been instructed as to where to take our garbage and recycleing we would havd gladly taken care of it. Staff was nonexistent during our stay, hardly seen them and unless you went to find them they were never around. Trying to lock and unlock our room took sometimes up to 5 minutes to do as the tumblers were so rusted. We felt like the resort was very unwelcoming to non-owners. Other than a few other guests there was no interactions with people at the resort. No music playing, no atmosphere, very dull. And the bugs were horrendous! We know the resort is not to blame but you could hardly we outside unless the sun was shining, which sadly wasnt much while we were there. We will say Wilbert at the bar was the highlight of our trip. Restaurant was good.

Although 10 miles on Ambergris Caye is a long travel time, Sapphire beach Resort is worth the drive. The staff is willing to help with accommodations of flights from Belize City, transport from San Pedro to the resort, and renting a golf cart. Being away from San Pedro gives you relaxation when you want it and it is close enough to enjoy the city as well. Would visit again!

It was convenient to scuba dive from this resort, because a local dive shop picks up divers right from the resort’s dock. Food was delicious and the accommodations were very comfortable and beautiful. Super nice staff.

Pool needs paint and advertize cable tv which they don't have only wifi. If you don't subscribe to streaming apps you got no tv. Beach is terrible, you can't swim in it, it's so far from everything you need a car or gulf cart.

The resort staff and location are excellent. It is far enough out of town that you feel you have the whole area to yourself, which was exactly what we wanted! The resort staff is super friendly and will help you out with any questions or anything you need.

Really enjoyed our stay. Food was great onsite but not great value, our server ms Vicki was lovely. limited options nearby. Bar was great when it was open; Wilbur and Edwin were great. Pools and property were clean and meticulously maintained. Loved our single poolside room. The kitchen was well appointed and very clean. It was high sorgrass season on the beach and you’d need a bulldozer to deal with that stuff properly. Definitely rent a cart in town on your way in so you can visit some other beaches. Fishing off the dock was great. We took advantage of the bikes and kayaks on site. Staff were awesome, friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great experience. The beaches in the immediate vicinity north and south were covered in trash - definitely not the resorts fault, but someone should deal with it. The Saturday BBQ is not to be missed! Thanks Sapphire Beach Resort!

It’s a very peaceful property and well kept grounds. The food is good and reasonably priced. You must have a golf cart to get anywhere as it is quite a drive to town but great for spending the day doing something away. This is a great place for relaxing, not a place if you need to stay busy.

Loved the resort. Good pool areas Rooms were clean and well maintained. Security (shout out to Marco) was fantastic. He was so helpful and always met us in the parking lot to make sure we got in okay. If you are an animal lover, there are cats and dogs to keep you company. Friendly, but well behaved. Must have golf cart to get around, but the drive is exciting and you notice something new every time! Locals appreciate a drive to or from work if you have room. Very safe.

Nice setting. Friendly staff. Gem Restaurant is excellent. Unit I was in desperately needed updates to kitchen and bath. No screens, so no listening to the ocean inside. Road to resort is in extremely poor condition.

Nice property quiet area and relaxing. Food at the restaurant was good. Seaweed on the beach was excessive and not cleaned up even though there was staff to do the job so difficult getting in and out of the water. Extremely expensive for transportation to leave the property
