Came here to go to kalahari. Immediately upon entering this I got hit with the intense smell of mold. My room is even worse. The pillow cases on my bed smelled bad .. almost like something was spilled on them that was rotten. The floor around my bed was dirty. The staff was not unfriendly.. but they werenât friendly either. Just didnât feel inviting at all. I have a support animal whom I brought with me and taking her outside, I walked around the property and there is a small little marsh in the back and what should be filled with frogs or wild life of some sort is filled with disgusting garbage. Itâs so gross. I will say the pool looks super clean and pretty nice. However, I wonât be swimming. I wonât stay here again: The short drive to and from Kalahari, quite frankly, is not worth it, That heavy of a mold smells concerns me a lot. Itâs funny because the reviews I read were almost all positive. I know now ,for sure, that they delete the negative ones and they have got to have people writing reviews for them to bring them business. I canât imagine a lot of people come back here for a second visit!!!
We feel we paid too much for the room . The bed was similar to an IKEA setup ( not very comfortable) and the a/c stayed on â teeth chattering â mode or nothing at all .
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only problem is getting my deposit back I was charged at check in. It's been a week and I'm still waiting for it.
At check in, they told me I didnt have a reservation, it took several minutes to find out that I did. So we get to our room, the bathroom faucet does not work, the bed was a box spring, it didnt have a mattress, and a alarm kept going off. Went to front desk and the night shift clerk said I dont know what to do, the alarm I cant do anything about that. No one has said anything about the faucet. You will just have to speak to the manager in the morning. Spoke with the manager and she acted like she knew nothing about the hotel in general. I asked for a refund, sorry no refunds given. We ended up checking out and lost 304.98 for the second night. Considering they have a NHRA race every year they would want people to come back.
There was chewed up sunflower seeds on the floor. We swept them up with the bathroom towels. The loby was packed at check in and took forever to check in and one key card would not work after i even went and got it fixed
The property was conveniently located next to Kalahari, which was great considering late night check in. Upon arriving in room, and proceeding to take a shower, noticed har in both shower area and on toilet seat. I reported to front desk- they were apologetic and offered to switch rooms. However. I had two children with me and we had already settled in from long day.
