When I arrived lady at front desk was rude , said a lot my room wasn’t ready , then leaves ? , I asked a different worker if I can cancel and said yes so I left , and I then I still see a charge as if I stayed there & I was told by this rude lady I’m not getting a refund , , so I on top of driving 8 hours , I walked into a beautiful hotel & lady was so polite and was able to assist us in a room & some home made cookies & a nice complimentary dinner , , ,

Convenient location.

Nice no frills hotel near beach and state street. Less than a block to the beach and very close to train station and state street. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff if very limited but it didn’t impact my stay. I would stay here again.

This place is a treasure. Very European and eclectic Walkable to several great restaurants and the beach. The staff es extremely friendly and polite. Only warning is no air conditioning for warmer summer months.

The hotel is wonderful. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a little problem checking in. She was 30 min late, but trying to be helpful. I left a cash deposit. I was to pick it up at checkout, but no one was able to find my deposit. I had to wait and come back at 1:30 to pick up my cash deposit. Overall a great stay. I would defiantly come back.

We stayed at the Tide Pool section across the street, great apartment, loved the decor and all of the property landscaping so gorgeous! Staff super friendly and helpful as well!

Chambre ok mais servive du petit déjeuner nul

La chambre 5 était spacieuse et relativement propre, la literie de bonne qualité mais le service laissait à désirer surtout pour le petit dejeuner inclus. Pas de tapis de bain, pas de gel douche ni shampoing mis à disposition. Il a fallu demander à l'accueil pour avoir des serviettes pour la piscine (eau froide) /jacuzzi (eau chaude mais carrelage abimé et jets très légers). Au petit déjeuner à 8h30 il n'y avait plus de lait,plus de jus, plus de pain...aucun beurre ni confiture. Il a fallu attendre un moment avant que quelqu'un s'en aperçoive et mette un bon quart d'heure pour remettre un tout petit peu de quoi manger/boire. Espace repas très mal pensé niveau circulation, beaucoup de monde dans un espace restreint. Pas de parking extérieur de l'hotel disponible mais heureusement en semaine,aucun soucis pour se garer dans la rue juste à coté. Rapport qualité- prix sans doute ok pour Santa Barbara, juste en face de l'ocean, mais à refaire, j'irais ailleurs

The Villa Rosa is an absolute GEM of a property. The location couldn’t be better (right on the beach), the decor and appurtenances are unique and beautiful, breakfast, wine happy hour, clean and comfortable rooms, pool, jacuzzi, and walking distance from everything “Santa Barbara”. This is a property you will travel to again and again. Staff are all outstanding, and Melody at the front desk is super helpful, knowledgeable and professional. This is a property with so much charm, you may never leave! We’ll be back again!

Cute unique, boutique hotel

Super cute unique boutique Hotel. A little bit it reminds me of staying at a miniature Hearst castle , With the way that is decorated and all the big cushy chairs when you check in. They have a Simple and delicious wine and cheese hour. And lots of little nooks and Crownies to sit around the pool with water fountains going. The room we got was pretty large and had a full-size refrigerator. I believe it was the king cottage. Really comfy bed And it had a full size fridge and little dishes for us to put out food in . We ordered pizza and got wine and Put it inside of the little wine goblets they had in the room. The check in was easy. The lady was very busy, but she let us know that we could have some wine and cheese and she would come get us as soon as she had a minute. Less than 10 minutes, but we were really enjoying ourselves.
