We love City Views because of the Mountain Viewâs ! The home is so beautifully appointed with art and comfortable. Location perfect to town or for a morning walk at the park . Thank you for sharing your home
Pics don't so the space justice -- wonderful Adobe unit with lots of great nooks to explore and details to enjoy.Great location right near downtown and up on ridge with a great view for watching the sunsetsunsets
The house was beautiful in a great location with an incredible view. There was plenty of space to spread out. It was very clean, easily walkable, and had everything you could need. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again!
Great property and location for enjoying Santa Fe!
This place was perfect for my family. The house was very nice and had beautiful views. It was also within walking distance of all downtown Santa Fe has to offer. Highly recommend!
The pictures donât do it justice, truly. This condo feels like a quiet, solitary home. Well built. Immaculately decorated with a catalog of art that feels like itâs been collected for decades. Comfortable beds (firm-ish king for adults, softer twins for kids). Great kitchen. Delightful library and reading nook with gas fireplace. We adored every minute here. Thank you for letting us experience this magical city in your magical home!
On the plus side - The place is beautiful, even better than pictured. Very clean. Nice location overlooking town, though you will need a car. We would rent it again.
On the not so great side: 1) Picking up (and dropping off) a physical key from a separate rental office is a bit old school. 2) When we arrived at the condo, the driveway and steps were partially covered by snow and glare ice, even though the snow had stopped days before. The management company was quick to respond to address the condo steps and entry-way, but said it could do nothing about path to condo or parking pad. They said that the owner or condo association need to take responsibility for this. So nothing was done and we were caught in the middle and we did a lot of slipping and sliding during our stay. 3) We rented the place because the property was marked as "wheelchair accessible" on VRBO (we were visiting a disabled relative who we wanted to host). But the condo has a substantial number of entry steps and is NOT accessible. The management company blamed VRBO for this incorrect info and said they would change this designation. (As of today this "amenity" designation has yet to be changed on the listing).
Location. Location. Location! The home is centrally located. Close to grocery stores, restaurants and the central square. Be forewarned. If you drive a big car, the neighborhood streets are narrow with tight turns.
We were extremely pleased and impressed by the accommodations! The home is comfortable and welcoming. It's beautifully decorated with Santa Fe art and fabrics. The views are stunning! Each evening we watched the spectacularly colorful sunsets. We spent many hours in the mornings and evenings near the fireplace. It is one of the best gas fireplaces we've ever seen! Burns evenly and heats up the living room quickly. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans. All the tableware you need is provided. Oddly, we agreed the primary flatware handles felt and smelled like steel wool (the texture is not pleasant) so we used the smooth handled pieces. We were so happy to see the owner provided all the firewood needed to have a fire in the fireplaces and they provided guidance to using a kiva (which is unique).
We do have a few complaints. The twin mattresses need to be replaced; they are saggy. The sheets on all the beds were uncomfortably scratchy. The locks to the security gate and entrance to the house were difficult to unlock/lock. The faucets in both bathrooms need some attention. They are very tight, a challenge to turn on and completely turn off. We spent time outside but did not know where the seat lounge cushions were stored
We highly recommend booking!.
We returned to Alma Compound to enjoy the great views across Santa Fe. It did not disappoint! This unit is well arranged for sleeping, reading, listening to music, and streaming movies, while also providing easy access to the Plaza and other points of interest in and around the City.
Enjoyed a long weekend in Sante Fe. The home was perfect, beautifully decorated, comfortable, great views. Easy walk to restaurants and shops but still in quiet neighborhood. We're already planning our next stay at this home.
This property was wonderful. It is decorated in a beautiful southwestern style creating a cozy and comfortable home. In addition, the location provides a gorgeous sunset and is easy walking distance for shopping and dining.
Property was lovely and well maintained...exactly what we wanted for a celebration of my husband's birthday. It was well appointed, beautifully located and perfect in every way. Thank you so much. We will return!!!
Overall this was a decent rental with nice views of the city and close to everything. The kitchen was well appointed and the home is warm and cozy.
We thought it was a house, but it is an apartment, the parking spots are very narrow, the windows and the fireplace glass need cleaning, and the sheets and pillows are the worst we've ever slept in as the pillows were overstuffed and the sheets felt like burlap. The downstairs bedroom is dark and we didn't notice until checking out that a fire was possible in that fireplace - it wasn't in the upstairs bedroom where instead they left battery operated candles. None of the candles were operable. The blind on the upstairs bedroom door wouldn't raise up so we missed some of the experience of the views. Having to clean up the house and take the trash with you when you check out was not convenient. One night we shut off the fire and it wouldn't re-start in the morning but the management company was quick to remedy the situation. The stereo is just a boom box with external speakers, not a system throughout the home which would have been nice. Also none of us could log into the WiFi until the last day when I cut and pasted the password.
Overall it's a nice apartment in a good area, but we've been renting in Santa Fe for 20 years and we've certainly got more for our money and had to perform less so I think this is a one and done for us.
We loved this house. If you are looking for a two bedroom, two bath place in Santa Fe, stop now and book this place. It is big. It is charming. It has a fantastic view of the city. It is a short walk to downtown. It has dozens of small touches that will make you feel good about paying for a really nice place. My wife and I didn't really need the second bedroom, but we are glad we decided to splurge on this place. Lots of room to spread out indoors and outdoors. Heated floors! We could go on and on. Book this place.
We loved the decor and comfort of this property for our family of 4 (2 teens). Very comfortable and fun New Mexico decor. We loved the outdoor space which has wonderful flowers and hummingbirds! The kitchen is well outfitted for cooking, although we only did alittle since Santa Fe food is delicious. The 2 bathrooms, linens, beds, water pressure- all made for a great stay. Also we appreciated some tour books/coffee table books about the area. A wonderful place to stay!
A few important things not in the listing:
1. There is a washer/ dryer
2. There is a large AC unit in the main living room and the upstairs primary bedroom (needed in the summer!)
3. The pics donât do justice to the townhouse or outdoor space. Itâs gorgeous.
We like places with character. This townhouse has it. From the neat nooks to the flowering back yard to the fireplaces and adobe architectureâperfect! We even loved âGOATâ who overlooks the living room. We didnât walk into town but you could. Itâs a great spot to take day trips to the surrounding areas like Bandolier, Los Alamos, Taos. Easy!
The complex lost water for a weekend (!) â a main leakedâso the management company gave us access to another nearby unit to shower and such. We could have moved in there BUT I would NOT leave the townhouse. NO WAYâeven with no water! Management was very helpful.
We had plenty of space to play cards, read, see the sunset every nightâI will miss it!!
BTWâplace is stocked with everything. Pantry basics and spices. Laundry pods. All equipment you could need. Loved it!
Our family of four loved our experience in this truly authentic home. The sunsets on the patio, the well curated art throughout the home, the relaxing nook, top notch appliance kitchen, and the ideal location. Thank you for creating such a welcoming space! We cannot wait to return.
