Our visit started with checking in and not being told that if we wanted maid service, we need to tell the front desk. Guess what, our second day, we never got maid service as was expected as the front desk never told us, so we didn’t have fresh towels, ran out of Kleenex and no replacement glasses, water or any type of maid service! We went to the pool to drink our coffee, which we only had decaf at about 7:30 am and maintenance crew started blowers and power washing the pool floor. One maintenance guys was scrubbing the side of the inter pool which was causing lots of debris on top of the water. The blowing and power cleaning was also blown into the pool and lots of debris was noted throughout the pool area. We left the pool area due to the aforementioned and went to sit in the lobby area and during this time, painters came in and started painting near us. We went back to the room,as we didn’t have anywhere to go as nothing else was yet open. There was only one ice machine in the entire hotel working and it was very had to find. Our room a/c was not working properly as the fan speed was stuck on high and it caused lots of noise. I asked the hotel Manager to call me and I never did get a return call. We believe that the hotel should tell us on their site if they are under going renovation so the guest can decide if this is the hotel they wish to stay at. This was not a good visit and I wish I would have known that all the hotel renovations was in progress. A very bad visit.

Loved the charm of my room

Beautiful property away from the hustle and bustle of the Plaza. This property was at a high elevation which provided both a Birds Eye view of the city as well as cooler breezes.

The property is beautiful and will be very nice once all the upgrades are complete. The pool area is very dirty. The rooms are older and it is definitely time to replace the carpet because it has a moldy smell.

We reserved a room with a king bed three months in advance and received a confirmation. Upon arrival and check-in, we discovered the room assigned was a double. When inquiring with the desk clerk about the error, we were told rather sharply the hotel does not reassign rooms after check-in. We were not pleased in the least. No attempt was made by the staff to correct the error even though a confirmation was shown to the clerk. To compound our initial dissatisfaction, we discovered the room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. Even a Motel 6 has both… and a customer booking a reservation in Santa Fe would naturally expect such standard hotel amenities in the year of 2025. Our experience was far below expectations for a hotel nearest the Santa Fe Opera. We will book elsewhere for our next visit.

Loved the charm and ambience. Decor was a little “tired” but still beautiful. Roof top bar is elevated above the town and has stunning vantage point with cool breezes. Chris, our bartender, created a laid back vibe that made our trip.
